Role & Responsibilities

First-year Analyst role within the Research & Strategy team. Primary function is to support the fund’s Portfolio Managers. Key aspects of the role:

• Keeping abreast with currency, equity and fixed income trends and valuation and market moving events (including geopolitical events)
• Analysing economic data in all Asian and G10 markets to formulate trade ideas
• Econometric models and Quantitative statistical analysis are also utilized
• Regular interaction with external sell-side research and economists
• Python proficiency

1. Apply technical expertise in quantitative analysis, data mining, economics & financial markets knowledge to perform economic modelling and event studies using Python
2. Development and back-testing of systematic trading strategies across different asset classes (FX, Equities, Fixed Income) using statistics libraries from Python and in-house proprietary software
3. Design and implementation of algorithms and automated tools using Python for web-scraping, data cleaning, and data visualization purposes
4. Build new libraries for analytics by writing clean and maintainable code

Basic Qualifications

• Highly motivated self-starter who has an individual passion for financial markets
• Keen understanding of macroeconomic, fixed income, currency and equity markets
• Strong, confident communication and interaction skills
• On top of strong academic qualifications, quantitative finance qualifications or academic courses will be valued
• Prior fund management internship experience is preferred
• Besides strong Excel skills, Programming/Coding is REQUIRED (Python, C++) and able to use Bloomberg
• Fluency in Business Mandarin is a must

Job Description

• You will work with a cross border team of traders and analysts in providing base metals expertise and insights to deliver customised industry knowledge and expert advisory.
• To manage and monitor complex commodity position repotrting, reconciliation and update the cross border team expeditiously.
• Conduct daily fundamental analysis and forecast specific short and long term supply and demand of base metal products.
• Assist with business developement and strategic activities through the provisions of accurate and insightful market analysis.
• Develop and implement efficient processes and standardization between the different regions and the overall work processes between the cross border team.
• To work closely with the local and China trading teams to forecast and identify changes in trade flows and identify trading opportunities.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 6 years experience in base metals research and analysis with solid contact network in China Market.
• Candidates with a proven record of knowledge of China base metals market or with prior experience in research and trading role will be considered favourably.
• Excellent knowledge of the chain value of base metals and iron ore.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in Chinese and able to write analytical reports in Chinese.

Job Description

1. Assist in preparing and cooking traditional Korean dishes such as Kimchi, Bulgogi, Bibimbap, etc.
2. Organize ingredients and prepare necessary kitchen tools and supplies.
3. Perform basic food preparation tasks such as washing, peeling, chopping, and measuring ingredients.
4. Follow instructions from senior chefs and kitchen staff to cook and plate dishes.

Job Requirements

Role Purpose:

We are looking for a self-motivated, experienced, and multitasking individual to provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to the executive team. You will play an important role in assisting the team to ensuring that daily operations function smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Proactively and independently support the executive team by handling various assignments across diverse business lines
• Prepare meeting minutes, presentation slides, and maintain accurate documentation with a keen attention to detail
• Organise and coordinate meetings, travel plans, facilitating business appointments; and submit monthly claims on behalf of the executive team

Qualifications:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Chinese (to liaise with Chinese speaking partners) due to job requirements
• Willing to take the initiative to learn and take responsibility at work
• Bilingual in both English and Mandarin (to liaise with clients and colleagues based in China where their primary language is Mandarin)
