Solid technical and functional knowledge of relevant financial services regulations and policies of Singapore and Asia region. Main responsibilities

Manage and mentor the regional accounts operations team into a high performing, efficient, accurate, and innovative team
Responsible for cash flow and liquidity management, as well as GST submissions
Responsible for the timely preparation of periodic financial reports, and ensuring that the reported results are compliant with accounting standards
Analyse financial data and provide insights to inform business decisions and improve cost-efficiency
Assist in designing and implementing internal controls and SOPs across HQ and subsidiaries, and responsible for monitoring the execution of the SOPs
Leverage technology and work closely with functional teams to constantly improve productivity and quality of accounts operations and process flows
Being a proactive partner to internal departments and external business partners
Coordinate with the head of tax, legal and technology teams in relation to ad-hoc projects
Other ad-hoc duties assigned from time to time

Degree in accountancy or equivalent professional qualification (CPA, ACCA)
4 years of relevant experience
Good understanding of International and Local Accounting Standards and tax regulations
Sound understanding of internal controls and risk management
Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
Proficient in verbal and written Chinese is a plus
Experience with SAP B1 or a regional accounting / shared service centre is a plus

To seek to provide innovative and practical answers to client queries, being alert to both commercial concerns and technical accuracy. To ensure absolute compliance with KYC procedures in order to maintain knowledge of the client business.
To ensure billing and debt collection is carried out effectively and in a timely manner.
To be alert to new business opportunities and to maintain a broad general knowledge of issues affecting the offshore industry, and be able to apply this knowledge in developing new and existing business.
To attend marketing events and seminars organised by intermediaries, whenever appropriate and possible.
To support Ocorian’s strategy, demonstrating the ability to generate innovative operational ideas and constructively challenge the status quo.
And any other such duties that might be reasonably required for this role.
