This project aims to automate the design of origami-based deployable building integrated photovoltaics (BIPV) to mitigate the energy consumption of skyscrapers. Buildings worldwide account for a third of energy consumption, BIPV offers a sustainable solution, embedding solar panels into building exteriors. However, the complexity of BIPV installation and a lack of skilled professionals impede their broader adoption.
