As a technician, you will join one of the teams who manufacture our medicines. The environment that these teams work in is a clean room environment doing filling of sterile vials. Routine Operation

• Setup and operate pharmaceutical production equipment including high-speed filling lines for sterile injectables, robotic technology, compounding panels and automatic CIP/SIP.
• Dispense, formulate and fill active biological product batches as required to meet the production schedule.
• Perform routine QC sampling and in-process testing of the product at various stages throughout manufacturing i.e bioburden sampling, water sampling.
• Microbial sampling and swabbing of room and equipment.
• Perform cleaning and upkeep of the Grade C & D cleanrooms and production equipment.
• Perform filter integrity testing using an automatic filter integrity test unit.
• Preparation of equipment including loading and starting of sterilisation cycles in autoclaves.
• Complete batch documentation as required including raising of exceptions in a DI compliant manner.
• Perform in-process sampling on semi-finished drug products.
• Perform visual inspection, labeling and packaging on semi-finished drug products.
• Perform all tasks in accordance with the standard operating procedures and maintain strict compliance to GMP at all times.

Event, Atypical Investigations

• Report QN/deviations if any.
• Participate in SHE, Business Compliance, cGMP and compliance matters, where applicable.
• Responsible to escalate Operations issues to Lead Tech or Shift Manager when required.

Continuous Improvement

• Responsible to participant in Kaizen events in pharm operations in accordance with Kaizen plans when assigned.

WHAT YOU MUST HAVE

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A Diploma or Technical School graduate with background in operations and maintenance or any relevant studies
• Must be willing to work in 24x7 rotating shift pattern.
• Min 2 -8 years of working experience preferably in manufacturing industry preferred depending on the level of the role you are applying for (O1 to O3).
• Good understanding of safety procedures/practices.
• Good command of English to be able to read and understand procedures, write simple comments, and communicate with team.

Centre for Lifelong Learning and Individualised Cognition CLIC is a research collaboration between the University of Cambridge and Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and hosted by the Cambridge Centre for Advanced Research and Education in Singapore (CARES) that aims to develop neuroscience-based interventions for lifelong flexible learning. The EOS/ASE Geodesy Group at NTU is searching for a Research Engineer II to work under the supervision of Prof Emma Hill on the role of tectonics in modifying regional relative sea level (RSL). The successful candidate will analyse geodetic data and conduct numerical modelling to estimate RSL related to past and future earthquakes and other processes of land-height change in Southeast Asia.

Further to this, they will work on projects aimed at effective communication of these results to policymakers and other stakeholders. They will investigate best practices for communicating probabilistic estimates of potential future impacts of earthquakes on RSL. The successful candidate will have a Bachelors’ degree in Earth Science, natural hazards, remote sensing, geodesy, computer science, data science, or a related subject. • Analyze and interpret geodetic and remote sensing data from regional observing networks and satellites to further our understanding of land-height change in Southeast Asia.

We are looking to appoint a full-time Research Associate (History) at the School of Humanities in Nanyang Technological University (NTU).

The incumbent will be part of one of a collaborative team of researchers based in NTU’s History Department working on the history of environmental crises and epidemics in colonial Hong Kong led by Assistant Professor Florence Mok. The Research Associate will focus on examining how transnational networks which linked Hong Kong and other places, especially Southeast Asia, affected the development of the Cold War, which in turn influenced state’s response to different kinds of crises, political and natural.

The fellowship position is a fixed term post for 12 months, with a possibility of further extension.

About the Project

This study will make an original contribution to the political, social and environmental history of modern Asia, British colonialism and the Cold War by exploring how the colonial government and the Chinese society in Hong Kong mitigated environmental crises from 1945 to 1980, with the Cold War in the background. This is a period of historical significance: it witnessed growing policy initiatives, increased economic affluence and rising political and social consciousness. It will focus on how the state and popular responses to water shortages, in particular propaganda, were influenced by Cold War politics. The proposed study will use a traditional historical approach of examining published sources and archival manuscripts in Hong Kong and London.

Key Responsibilities:

• Examine the data collected from the Hong Kong Public Records Offices and the National Archives at Kew.
• Carry out literature survey on Hong Kong history and different theories, in particular work Cold War networks between Hong Kong and Southeast Asia, different forms of propaganda and approaches of crisis management.
• Coordinate with the History Research Fellow, the History Associate and PI, apply theoretical frameworks to the historical/archival findings.
• Use both qualitative and quantitative methods to analyse the effectiveness of the crisis management measures implemented by the colonial government in Hong Kong.

The School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (SPMS) at NTU Singapore hosts research and education activities in two divisions: Division of Mathematical Sciences (MAS) and Division of Physics and Applied Physics (PAP). PAP covers many areas of fundamental and applied physics, including quantum information, condensed matter physics, biophysics, and photonics. Over the years, SPMS has attracted talented individuals from around the world and Singapore to join as scientific leaders and researchers.

We are seeking a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to contribute to a project focused on using neural network quantum states and advanced machine learning algorithms for simulating realistic microscopic Hamiltonians for quantum spin liquid phases and other frustration driven quantum phases in interacting spin systems, that cannot be efficiently simulated using conventional numerical approaches.

Key Responsibilities:

• Construct realistic microscopic model Hamiltonians relevant to real quantum magnets that can host quantum spin liquid states, focusing on Kagome lattice antiferromagnets and the Kitaev model
• Use neural network quantum states with deep artificial neural network architectures to simulate such Hamiltonians
• Construct experimentally observable properties of quantum spin liquid states
• Collaborate with experimentalists to identify signatures of spin liquid states in candidate materials
• Extend to other frustration-driven novel quantum phases

Job Requirements:

• Ph.D. in Physics or related field
• Knowledge of quantum many body physics and quantum phase transitions
• Familiarity with neural network quantum states and artificial neural networks
• Experience in collaborating with experimentalists
• Proficiency in computational methods
