REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or Biomedical Engineering) or related field.

Other Requirements: This is a physically demanding position that often requires extensive walking, standing for extended periods of time, working in tight spaces, bending, squatting, twisting, kneeling, reaching, climbing stairs and ladders, lifting up to 35 lbs., the ability to distinguish between colors, the ability to work in an environment with noise that may be difficult for some individuals with sensitivity to noise, and the use of hand and power tools. Position Summary

Key Responsibilities:

24x7 Network Monitoring and Support:

• Provide continuous monitoring of network systems, responding to incidents and outages as they arise.
• Perform immediate troubleshooting and repairs to minimize downtime, escalating issues to specialized teams if necessary.
• Work on a rotational shift basis, including night shifts and weekends, to ensure constant support availability.

Field Installation and Maintenance:

• Install, configure, and maintain DWDM, Metro Ethernet, and Time & Synchronization equipment at client locations, ensuring optimal performance and alignment with technical specifications.
• Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance to keep systems functioning efficiently and to prevent service disruptions.
• Respond to emergency field service requests, arriving promptly onsite to perform diagnostics and repairs.

Client Communication and Support:

• Conduct basic training for clients on system use and maintenance, as required.

Documentation and Reporting:

Qualifications & Skills Required:

• Diploma in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
