The Adjunct Associate Professor will collaborate with PAP colleagues to work in the area of plasma physics for fusion clean energy, in particular plasma turbulence measurements making use of microwave diagnostics. He/she will get involved with collaborated research with PAP colleagues in the fusion science programme, as well as explore collaborations with colleagues from other Schools within NTU, and international collaborations in fusion science and technology.

The candidate should have 3 to 5 years of experience in modelling microwave diagnostics to measure fluctuations in fusion plasmas. In particular, he should be able to model radio frequency wave propagation in turbulent media to measure spectral properties of plasma fluctuations. He/she should also be involved in the international experimental programme in that field. Proven experience in modelling/measurement comparison will be appreciated. • Oversee the onboarding process, conducting orientation, and monitoring probationary performance

• Leave and benefit claims administration

• Assist with the application and renewal of Employment Passes (EP), monitor work pass expiration dates and handle timely renewals

• Timely submission of Government Survey

• Assist the CEO with travel claims and arrangements

• Handle travel arrangements for the team, including flight bookings, hotel reservations

• Oversee administrative matters like insurance claims, pantry supplies etc

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree, preferably in Human Resources or related field

• Minimum of 3-5 years of HR experience, with comprehensive knowledge of full-spectrum HR functions

• Familiar with Singapore labour laws and immigration policies

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across cultures and time zones.

• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

• Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of handling complex matters independently

• Bilingual

JOB SUMMARY:

Understanding of membrane fouling, scaling, cleaning, antiscalant dosage are crucial for a steady operation of membrane processes like ultrafiltration, nanofiltration, reverse osmosis etc. Candidate will be performing experiments towards development of anti-scaling agents to counter CaCO3, CaSO4, CaF2 and SiO2 scaling. This will require evaluating several chemistry formulations and validating their performance with static/dynamic tests (membrane hydrodynamic studies).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Design of experiment:

o Evaluate the efficacy of developed formulations/competitor products for various scales following lab protocols.

o Plan antiscalant experiments using membrane flow-cell (with synthetic and real process water solutions).

· Performing the experiment:

o Build the setup necessary for the experiment.

o Carry out the experiment with good lab practices.

· Data analysis:

o Identify patterns and/or correlations from the experiment.

o Analyze the data obtained and provide recommendations for improvements or next phase of testing.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIRED:

• Technical background especially in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering/Environmental Engineering. (Polytechnic or University students)

• Experience in water chemistry or water testing would be a plus.
