LinkedIn is seeking a Communications Manager to work alongside the APAC and global Communications teams to develop and implement strategic and impactful communications to bring LinkedIn’s member and customer value to life.
The ideal candidate has expertise in developing integrated communications strategies and campaigns to reach consumer, corporate and B2B audiences across key markets. You will spotlight success stories, create awareness of LinkedIn’s value propositions, build media relationships, support key consumer and customer launches, ideate on effective storytelling news hooks for key priorities and build strong messaging and narratives to support media engagement.
We are looking for a self-starter who can work collaboratively across the business. Building trusted and professional relationships with senior business stakeholders, delivering creative and impactful communications campaigns and working as part of a global team is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Drive proactive communications programs and initiatives to support broader narratives to drive results for LinkedIn’s member and customer stories
- Partner with external agencies to drive impact and results
- Drive and develop communications messaging and Q&A documents for announcements, launches and broader cross-functional efforts
- Partner closely with cross-functional teams locally and internationally
- Manage and build relationships with journalists in efforts to build story and brand opportunities for LinkedIn
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 7+ years of PR or external communications experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience focussed on servicing the tech sector in the social media space
- BS/BA in Broadcast Journalism/Communications/PR/English
- Solid understanding of business and media environment particularly in consumer technology
- Well-developed and well-maintained media relationships with regional media particularly in the tech, HR, marketing trade press and national media
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Fantastic organizational skills and an innate ability to multitask and prioritize
- Strong understanding of PR planning and implementation process
- Very strong project management and decision-making skills
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and unstructured, deadline-oriented environment
- Possess a high degree of integrity and a sense of confidentiality
- Demonstrate managerial maturity and good judgment at all times
- The ability to develop and maintain strong internal and external relationships at all levels is critical to this position
