Electronic Trading Solutions unites all of Bloomberg’s cross-asset electronic trading platforms into one business, delivering trading solutions and analytics to both our Buyside and Sellside clients. Our solutions are an integral part of the Bloomberg network, allowing our clients to seamlessly stage, monitor, trade, clear, allocate and perform TCA all on one platform. In addition to capturing workflow, securing terminals, and growing our franchise market share, we offer many revenue-generating solutions that integrate with Bloomberg and non-Bloomberg OMS solutions, across the financial market.
What’s the role?
As a result of the continued success and growth of the ETS business we are further expanding our eFX sales team in APAC. This role offers a phenomenal opportunity to drive business across all client types by building new communities for e-trading as well as strengthen our existing relationships with key players in the markets.
As an eFX sales person you will be tasked to build deep, value-focused relationships with clients, and engage with them on ways they can grow and advance their business by partnering with Bloomberg for their trading, automation, and analysis needs.
You will be working closely with your colleagues across Bloomberg enterprise sales to help identify relevant prospects that we can work with across all asset classes for ETS, as well
We’ll trust you to:
- Sell and support client needs with regards Bloomberg’s global FX electronic trading venues
- Manage and grow our client base through increasing their trading volume on our platform and move more voice-based trades to electronic trading, building pipeline through prospecting, relationship management, referrals, and cross-selling
- Build an in-depth understanding about the various markets the coverage clients are participating in and our clients’ workflows, to directly impact sales and anticipate the market's future needs to position Bloomberg's solutions for the various workflows
- Perform meetings with clients and prospects to present unique Bloomberg solutions
- Understand the current regulatory landscape and our clients’ challenges around it
- Possess project management skills to coordinate product initiatives regionally, including but not limited to taking on product advocacy, to provide feedback to Bloomberg's Business Managers and Product Development teams on user demand and evolving market practices to drive product improvements
- Employ best use of our flat corporate structure to network across various departments, calling on specific expertise, and promote collaboration to deliver solutions to our clients
You'll need to have:
- 3+ years of experience in a financial services or financial markets technology company
- Experience selling or supporting Electronic Trading technology solutions to financial institutions
- Client facing experience covering FX, Fixed income and/or other Over-The-Counter asset classes
- Established track record of both relationship management and client support, dealing with clients across South East Asia
- Knowledge of Electronic Trading, order or execution management systems and trading connectivity
- Strong understanding of the impact of regulation, market structure and compliance on electronic trading
- An ability to be resourceful, possess problem solving skills and have a strong "can do" attitude
- Demonstrated continuous career growth within an organization
- Strong presentation and communication skills in English
- Bachelor’s degree or degree-equivalent qualifications
- An ability to travel
We'd love to see:
- Business proficiency in an ASEAN language (Thai, Filipino, Bahasa) as this will work with clients across South East Asia
- Prior experience with the Bloomberg product suite
