About the Role:

Reporting to Vice President, Business Optimisation, you are responsible to develop short, medium and long term product optimisation strategy and roadmap to maximise return on assets and increase profitability with differentiated products at scale. Overall responsibility for the short and long-term profitability of the product portfolio, balancing long-term strategic objectives with short-term profit optimisation. Set business optimisation rules for the short, medium and long term product loading on production assets and the allocation to regions. Optimise product portfolio in production by exercising one end-to-end business view for profit generation and strategic considerations. Set floor prices for PE or PP supply families. Support long term asset investments by providing business case assumptions and validations. Acts as a cross company (ADP/PTE) and cross-functional interface, lead and drive actions related to product portfolio optimisation and roadmap, providing guidance at operational and tactical level. Continuous improvement in existing processes related to business optimisation, floor pricing and product management.

Key Accountabilities:

Business rules and guidelines

• Set business rules and optimisation framework for short-term execution, tacticalmedium-term planning, and strategic long-term planning. Follow up execution ofbusiness rules and optimise rules continuously.
• Lead regular review of product segmentation and product ranking.
• Set targets for minimum demand to ensure business continuity.
• Set targets for contracting volumes to optimise medium term profits and plant loading.
• Define the inventory target range based on product and regional strategy, approvedservices level and tactical pricing options.
• Develop proposal of safety and turnaround stock as part of the business plan process.

Business optimisation (short to medium term)

• Lead and involve in decisions on the optimisation of product portfolio in production andallocation to regions, considering business plan objectives, seasonal and other demandvariations over the year, inventory levels, production capacities, and regional salesmargins.
• Guide and challenge regions and planning teams on demand and supply plan on short-term executional and tactical medium-term level.
• Analyse different supply scenarios considering profits and strategic objectives.
• Decide on deviations on proposed volume allocations on product and regional level in weekly and monthly S&OP process cycles to optimise business performance.
• Set the buffer stock level for critical products for VP BO approval.
• Responsible for ensuring that the inventory level is within the target.•Lead PE and PP profit optimisation meeting to drive discussions and actions specific to technical and operational issues to improve product quality and better asset utilisation. Cascade product portfolio strategy and business plan as well as any relevant strategic topics from QBR and PPM to ensure alignment. Escalate any key issues to PPM.
• Report Business Optimisation result.

Pricing

• Set monthly Floor Prices for all relevant product groups and regions (incl. Borealisregions) for VP BO approval.

Business plan and PE/PP roadmaps (long term business optimization)

• Lead the optimisation of PE or PP product mix strategy for the 5-year business plan.
• Lead the 5-year business plan product balancing process, deliver the optimised 5-year business plan product balancing, ensuring that the business plan balancing is aligned within different functions in Borouge and with Borealis.
• Initiate and lead necessary projects and /or taskforces to ensure successful implementation of the business plan.•Initiate strategic sourcing options from Borealis to optimise the overall business.
• Lead the 10-year PE or PP product roadmap process, considering long-term market demand and asset developments. Develop different roadmap scenarios for QBR approval.
• Initiate and evaluate investment business cases jointly with ADP to support the PE and PP product roadmap. Align internally and provide the balanced PTE business assumptions (volume and premium) to justify investments.
• Report progress of business plan & road map implementation.

Product portfolio and innovation

• Lead the strategic S&OP segment of S&OP review meeting and drive actions to improve product portfolio and escalate key issues to QBR or Executive S&OP Review Meeting.
• Evaluate innovation proposals from a business optimisation perspective and review innovation business cases in the Product Portfolio Management meeting, propose innovation projects and new products to support the product roadmap, improving manufacturing efficiency and to optimise the return on assets.
• Propose product deletions to manage product complexity and optimise return on assets.
• Provide inputs to risk management team for product business continuity plan.

About You:

• Master Degree in Economics/Chemistry/Engineering; MBA preferred
• Minimum 10 years relevant working experience in petrochemical or similar or relatedindustry

What we need from you
