Working with institutional investors, banks, insurance companies, governments and multinational corporations, Securities Services offers a range of fund administration, global custody, sub-custody and clearing, and corporate trust and loan agency services.
We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Product Manager, Securities Services Digital, Data & Innovation.
Principal Responsibilities
- Contribute to HSBC’s Digital Assets Strategy, on products that are relevant to Securities Services business including Custody, Tokenisation and the use of Distributed Ledgers for repos, settlements, etc
- Collaborate across multiple HSBC business lines in delivering products and relevant control and risk functions
- Be current with relevant regulations in key jurisdictions, respond to consultations and educate the internal organisation on updates in the industry
- Product: to drive the growth of digital assets products as part of the wider Digital, Data & Innovation group within HSBC Securities Services
- Product delivery: drive delivery of the product working across and be central point of contact for teams across Client Coverage, Operations, Risk and Compliance, Technology and other products.
- Product commercialisation: drive and assist in product commercialisation covering industry knowledge and ability to engage internal and external stakeholders, clients and regulators
- Business: drive Business Initiatives at global level from end to end
- Provide thought leadership, representing Securities Services externally in the field of digital & data including conferences, trade and client events
- Take a pro-active approach in monitoring the market and technology developments likely to be relevant to the industry
- Represent Securities Services and contribute expertise in Group-wide initiatives
Qualifications
- At least 3-5 years of experience working in a significant digital product function in a large organization
- Proven track record in driving transformation and change
- Strong influencer, capable of leading and influencing stakeholders
- Highly proactive and able to deal with ambiguity
- Ability to empathise with clients and their business goals and transformation journeys
- Understanding of the emerging technology design and development principles, along with methodologies
- Results oriented, able to drive a ‘think client’ approach within defined risk parameters
- Able to manage a complex and multi-disciplinary global environment (‘building bridges’)
- Good communicator, both verbally and in writing
- Able to work in high pressure environment and manage priorities effectively and be a good team player
- Strong knowledge on blockchain and digital assets, including recent global regulatory developments in Asia
- Digital assets industry experience is a plus
