This project aims to investigate the performance of cementitious materials and 3D printed concrete against ballistic and blast loadings. STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

The Memory Aging & Cognition Centre (MACC) is a Research Center within the National University Health System funded by the Singapore National Medical Research Council that focuses on the study of dementia and cognitive impairment in the elderly. The MACC currently has 4 research themes on (i) neurochemistry, molecular pathology and biomarker discovery, (ii) neuroimaging, (iii) clinical assessment and (iv) epidemiology.

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant to join our team at the MACC. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the daily operations and maintenance of the laboratory, as well as the handling of samples obtained from human or animal studies. The successful candidate will also have opportunities to work on various laboratory testing/techniques and contribute to the team's research effort in neurochemistry and blood biomarkers of Alzheimer's disease and vascular cognitive impairment.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Handle samples obtained from human (blood, plasma, serum, post-mortem brain tissues) or animal studies, including the proper processing, documentation, tracking, storage and retrieval of samples.

Working with our industrial partner we will establish an understanding of rheological properties that are useful for product formulation and process design related to lab and larger scale extrusion/dispensing applications.More specific responsibilities include:
