Purpose of the post

The Research Assistant/Research Associate (RA) will be involved in an ethnographic and historical study that investigates the urban heat experiences and practices of Singapore households. The RA will be responsible to, and work closely with, the Principal Investigator and Co-Investigator(s) to ensure the successful and timely completion of the project. The RA’s principal role will be to recruit participants, participate in multi-method physiological-ethnographic fieldwork investigations (physio-ethnography), conduct ethnographic and oral history interviews, data entry and analysis, interview transcription and drafting of publications and reports.

We are seeking highly motivated researchers with expertise in computational modelling of biological systems to join our group at National University of Singapore for the engineering of microbes for biomanufacturing, a field which is rapidly developing and has great potential in providing environmentally friendly and sustainable solutions to address our ongoing challenges. Primary Responsibilities:

The candidate will primarily work on developing computational models of the engineered microbes for the production of high value chemical. The models will be used to optimize the strains and bioprocess.

• Present scientific and technical data in a clear and cohesive manner.
• Ensure scientific integrity and documentation of experimental data to meet standards suitable for intellectual property, and publication.
• To work closely with colleagues/collaborators who are engineering the microbes.

Qualifications
