The successful candidate will work with Prof CHEN Wei on Interface Engineering for artificial neuromorphic electronics under a project on “Interface Controlled 2D Devices and Solid-State Batteries".

This project aims to advance the field of photon-modulated organic electrochemical transistors (OECTs), with a particular focus on photon-modulated electrochemical doping systems for flexible OECTs. This research is critical for advancing OECT-based circuits in bioelectronics, wearable electronics, and artificial neuromorphic electronics (e.g., optoelectronic synapses). A postdoctoral researcher is sought to contribute to this cutting-edge research, which lies at the intersection of organic semiconductors, materials science, and electrochemistry. Project Overview

The AMR IRG is an interdisciplinary community of biologists, engineers, and clinicians from MIT and Singapore, sharing a state-of-the art research facility and united by a commitment to providing a supportive intellectual environment where students and staff can learn, grow, and contribute to solving a pressing societal problem.

The objective of this project is to advance the field of RNA analysis by developing and implementing innovative analytical tools. These tools will be used in a comprehensive study of all forms of RNA -- the ribonucleome -- and the >170 RNA modifications -- the epitranscriptome -- in disease pathobiology, host-pathogen interactions, biomarker development, and therapeutic target discovery.

Responsibilities

The Research Engineer will plan and conduct experiments with the aim of studying the roles of RNA modifications in human immunue diseases. A Research Officer position is available in Dr. Anand Andiappan Lab at the Singapore Immunology Network (SIgN). The RO position is to support the research work of the team that focuses on studying the role of immune system in eczema and allergies. The candidate will work on primary cells from cohorts and cell culture systems towards understanding immune pathophysiology of disease. Additional work involves cellular and stimulation assays with flow cytometry and FACS analysis along with imaging by confocal microscopy, and associated data analysis with statistical tested.

Job Duties:

• Managing safety in the lab

• Perform other lab administrative duties and operations such as ordering and tracking lab budget

-Contribute to high-quality research and development work in TCOMS laboratory through physical experiments including:

o design of scaled physical test models, such as maritime vessels, offshore rigs, marine renewable platforms, and aquaculture systems for testing in TCOMS Ocean Basin.

The successful candidate will work with Professor Barbaros Oezyilmaz under a project on Spin triplet superconductivity in van der Waals heterostructures.

Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree in Physics, Material Science, Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, or related disciplines and strong background in low-temperature device physics. The successful candidate will be working in state-of-the-art research environment and receive internationally competitive salary packages.

Our group has extensive experience in the fabrication and characterization of van der Waals heterostructures based on magnetic and superconducting layered materials. To support our ongoing work, we are looking for a new team member with extensive experience in low-temperature magneto-transport measurements. The candidate is expected to do research on spin triplet generation and characterization by introducing an additional layer of a magnetic semiconductor into existing heterostructures to realize spin mixing.

The main responsibilities of the position include:

1. Design and development of magnetic tunnel junction or spin valve.
2. Nano fabrication (e.g., stacking of van der Waals heterostructures, e-beam lithography, nano deposition) in clean room.
3. Low-temperature electrical characterization of superconductors/semiconductors.

Senior Testing Engineer

As part of IME’s Photonics & Sensors Department, the candidate will take lead for the development of various testing capability for advanced photonics, including but not limited to chip-level and wafer-level testing of optical devices and electro-optical devices. You will work closely with an excellent multidisciplinary team working on advanced photonics.

Responsibilities:

• Develop various photonics testing capabilities for both chips and wafers, including design and building of measurement setups
• Optimize data acquisition and analysis process to improve test efficiency, e.g. automation of measurement processes for wafer-scale testing and corner analysis
• Perform chip-scale and wafer-scale data collection for OE, EO and OO devices
• Manage photonics laboratory including facilities management, health and safety, equipment calibration, inventory and stocktake
