Job Description

The Fellowship role will manage projects and provide expertise on Health Equity, access to care, and social determinants of health. He/She will also coordinate with regional working groups and engage with local and global partners, including the Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (C4IR) Network and the Accelerators Network, and contribute to the Forum's Health Equity strategy and broader global efforts.

The Health Equity effort in Singapore as well as the proposed pilot place-based change programme(s) will link to a broader global Global Health Equity strategy and pre-existing place-based change work (launching by the GHEN in 2024). The Signature Research Programme in Health Services & Systems Research (“HSSR”) in Duke-NUS Medical School is a centre of academic excellence for research and education on the organisation, funding and delivery of health services. This project focusing on emerging diseases in Borneo and is conducted in collaboration with an international consortium of universities in Malaysia, Singapore and the UK. This position offers the opportunity to work on ground-breaking research projects in the broad areas of environmental change, infectious disease surveillance, spatial epidemiology, machine learning and global health.

Key responsibilities:

• Conduct high quality research in epidemiology, machine learning and/or meta-analyses to identify impacts of environmental change on infectious disease dynamics and design targeted surveillance approaches;
• Develop and implement statistical methods, computational models and/ or machine learning algorithms to analyse environmental and infectious disease data;
