Proteins are the functional agents in cells, yet the systematic global characterization of their expression and spatial distribution has largely remained limited to the analysis of RNA as a proxy. To close this gap, we have recently expanded the Quantitative Proteomics Core to Clinical Proteomics applications with dedicated instruments including a timsTOF fleX mass spectrometer that allows for dual LC-MS/MS and MALDI imaging analysis. The research fellow will develop innovative workflows for both untargeted and targeted spatial protein imaging applied to the analysis of cancer tissues. Job Description

The Mechanobiology Institute (MBI) at the National University of Singapore (NUS) is a leading multi­disciplinary institute devoted to developing new paradigms for understanding biological functions in health and diseases from the perspective of cell, tissue and organ mechanics/dynamics and mechano-signal transduction. The institute operates on a fully integrated open-lab philosophy, with an extensive infrastructure supported by core facilities dedicated to technology such as state-of-the-art light microscopy, nano- and micro- fabrication, and computing.

The MBI is currently inviting applications from outstanding candidates for the Senior Research Scientist position. Particularly, the MBI seeks applicants with a commitment to both independent and collaborative interdisciplinary research in the area of mechanical and dynamical processes in tissue growth and morphogenesis.

Qualifications

Relevant experience in the study of tissue growth and morphogenesis, or mechanobiology in general, is highly desirable, as is an established track record in group leadership, mentoring, grantsmanship, and high impact publications. The successful candidate is expected to carry out research that complements and synergises with the core expertise of research currently being carried out in MBI and NUS. The successful candidate is also expected to establish collaborative, multidisciplinary research projects that actively integrate and leverage the expertise of principal investigators at MBI.

Roles & Responsibilities

Your day-to-day will involve:

Research

• Bring together rubber and commodities data from across the different regions into coherent global narratives.
• Understanding of current global trade policies and supply, demand trade flows and their role in commodity markets.
• Works closely with other individuals and teams to ensure accuracy and timeliness of information and publications to clients.
• Prepares written correspondence and presentation of analysis.

Data & Analytics

• Ability to work with numbers and spreadsheets and produce analytical editorial copy, grasping complex issues.
• Conducts research including identifying new data sources and statistical analysis of results
• Work with various types data sets and solve problems by applying advanced analytical methods or develop machine learning models as needed
• Develop data analysis/machine learning solutions to support actionable insights and deliver data-driven machine learning solutions to support automated decision making

Some things we consider critical for this role:

• Familiarity with Excel, Python/Matlab, Web scraping

Purpose: This position seeks to recruit an experienced research engineer to assist in developing new sustainable methodologies for chemical breakdown of waste plastics.

Job Responsibilities:

• The researcher will be involved in and contribute actively to waste plastics upcycling research, including but not limited to the following:
• Assist in synthesis and characterisation of homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysts and assist in reaction screening
• Be in charge of essential research equipment and maintennance
• Assist in training and mentoring staff, interns and students as and when required
• Curating and managing experimental data, and assist in preparation of reports, presentations, technological disclosures and manuscripts

Job Requirements:

• MSc in Chemistry or equivalent with at least 3 years experience
• Familiar with chemical synthesis and routine/ essential characterization techniques
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work cohesively in a team whilst sharing resources
• Strong interest to learn about new technologies
• Excellent organizational skills including attention to details

Key Responsibilities :

• Ensure Accounts Receivables are updated daily into the system and all documents is properly filled.
• Monitor and follow up with customers to ensure timeliness and effectiveness in collection and meeting of collection targets.
• Analyze customers’ payment pattern and trend.
• Ensure month end closing on Account Receivables are as scheduled.
• Conduct regular credit control reviews of key customers.
• Weekly reporting and meeting with the team to resolve any AR related issues.

Senior Scientist for Advanced Photonics

As part of IME’s Photonics & Sensors Department, the candidate will take the lead for the development of advanced photonics integration. This could include but not limited as photonic heterogeneous integration by bring various best-in-class materials into silicon wafer, electro-photonics integration, etc. You will work closely with an excellent multidisciplinary team involving photonics, semiconductor process, and fab operation.

Responsibilities:

• Development of various photonics integration capabilities with 8-inch and 12-inch facilities, with emphasis on photonics heterogenous integration.
• Design and fabricate various advanced photonics components and integrated circuits aiming for next-generation photonic applications.
• Design of Experiments (DOE) for both design and process margin checking and control.
• Process metrology data taking, device / circuit performance data taking.
• Data analysis and documentation
• Preparation of technical presentations and papers for internal meetings, as well as conferences and journals.
• Collaborate with project team to ensure quality and on-time delivery for various projects.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• PhD in Integrated Photonics, Opto-electronics, Materials Science, Physics or equivalent
• Strong hands-on experience in photonics integration.
