• Polytechnic Diploma in an Engineering Field.
• Working experience in material management in the aviation industry would be an advantage. Candidates with experience in inventory management in other industries would also be considered.
• At least 2 years working/professional experience. Working experience in the aviation industry would be preferred.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good human relations skills.
• Ability to learn fast and willingness to take up additional responsibilities.
• Proficiency with SAP will be advantageous.

The Studio Operations Intern will be a part of the CNBC Studio technical production team in APAC that outputs daily live TV news programs watched by millions of viewers worldwide. You will be trained and guided by experienced Studio Directors to operate equipment in a studio and control room effectively. You will be able to experience and participate in both CNBC’s live and pre-recorded TV news programmes.

There may also be opportunities to participate in learning and development programs and events led by the NBCUniversal Early Careers team, including contributing to the Company’s diversity and inclusion initiatives.

• Setup studio ancillary equipment in preparation for daily live TV news production
• Perform live TV audio mixing using professional broadcast sound mixer
• Operate up to 8 robotic cameras and a Jib
• Work closely with Studio Directors and learn how to setup and conceptualize camera shots and angles
• Setup anchors, correspondents, reporters and guests with microphones and in-ear-monitors before they go on-air
• Learn to troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance of studio equipment 
• Pick up floor managing skills through observation of how Studio Directors manage studio floor operations – coordinating with talents, guests, studio equipment, relaying cues between talents on the floor and control room
• Collaborate and provide technical production support to News Editorial and Operations teams
• Opportunities to participate in CNBC outdoor broadcast news coverage and events, on ad-hoc basis, as requested

Summary

This position is responsible for the entire credit granting process, bill collection, including the consistent application of a credit policy. Conducts periodic credit reviews of existing customers, and the assessment of the credit worthiness of potential customers, with the goal of optimizing the mix of company sales and bad debt losses.

Job Responsibilities

Credit applications:

· Process credit applications within 10 working days, ensuring that clients are notified promptly and professionally. The credit worthiness of all applicants is formally checked and approval must be received from the Director of Finance.

· Review the credit worthiness of all existing non-Accor approved clients on a yearly basis.

City Ledger:

· Ensure all invoices / statements are issued on a timely basis.

· Monitor the prompt follow-up of all overdue accounts and minimize the recovery delay.

· Monitors the special billing arrangements for groups and conventions as required to ensure that postings are in line with customer requirements.

· Monitor and pursue collection of overdue accounts.

· Review city ledger daily for correct postings of charges and take corrective action where necessary.

· Review bad debts listing monthly to prepare collectability analysis for monthly provision for doubtful debts.

· Respond to and resolve account queries in conjunction with accounts receivable.

· Review provision, write-offs and other adjustments immediately prior to month end.

· Implement effective inquiry response procedure for guests and management.

· Ensure all travel agent commissions are timely processed and paid.

· Report on monthly accounts receivable ageing analysis and detailed accounts’ ledgers.

· Conduct credit meetings at least once a month, with relevant highlighting monthly performance, bad debts, staff accounts outstanding and discuss any accounts causing concern and follow up.

· Attend Credit Managers meetings to keep up to date knowledge of credit risks.

· Appropriately manage all delinquent accounts, liaising with debt collectors where needed.

· Review and recommend accounts to be written off, providing appropriate documentation.

Guest Ledger and liaison with Front Office:

· Liaise between the Finance Department and the Front Office.

· Ensure PX and PM accounts are checked on daily basis and transferred to city ledger within 48hrs from the departure date.

· Review the Advance Deposit ledger to ensure all the balances are either current or for future date.

· Inform the Front Office Manager of any deviations from policy by Duty Managers, or Front Office Agents that may come to his/ her attention.

· Ensure guest refunds are processed in a timely manner as per the hotel policy; with all supporting paperwork and required authorizations.

Commercial Responsibilities

· To keep closed contact with hotel debtors i.e. Travel Agents, Airlines, Corporate clients and Individuals.

Summary

This position is responsible for directing, monitoring, and supervising the day-to-day activities of all sections within the Front Office and other operational departments of the Hotel, including the business center. The Duty Manager ensures smooth operations and customer service satisfaction in line with the established standards and policies of the Hotel.

Responsibilities

1. Responsible for ensuring the proper, efficient, and profitable functioning of the Hotel.

2. Supervise sections in the Front Office, including reception, cashier, telephone, reservation, and baggage services. Monitor staff members’ conduct and job performance and to project a positive corporate image to guests.

3. Provide prompt, courteous, and efficient service to guests and handle guest complaints with tact and diplomacy. Assist in guest check-ins and check-outs.

4. Assist in inspecting rooms assigned to VIPs before their arrival, escort VIPs to their rooms and ensure complimentary amenities are provided. Inform relevant departments about VIPs’ arrival.

5. Check the Logbook for messages and follow up actions at the beginning of each shift. Issue keys to authorized personnel only and initiate correspondence regarding enquiries, reservations, and complaints. Monitor housekeeping discrepancy reports and take corrective actions when necessary.

6. Handle security-related matters, such as directing guests reporting incidents or theft and addressing guest conduct issues with the Security Department.

7. Maintain the cash float amount according to expected occupancy. Authorize rate and room changes, paid outs, cash advances, and acceptance of cheques following procedures and credit policies.

8. Take charge of training all reception staff members, include planning, organizing and conducting on-the-job training.

9. Conduct spot checks on outlets in the absence of the Outlet Manager.

10. Monitor room inventory closely to maximize room utilization and generate higher revenue. Collaborate with Sales to optimize revenue and occupancy from group allotments.

11. Take on the responsibility of evacuating staff members and guests during a fire in the absence of the Safety & Fire Manager. Attend CERT training as required by law and regulations.

1. Minimum a Diploma holder with at least 5 years’ experience in a similar capacity.
