EUC Engineer (Fixed shift)

Brief Description:

End-User Support, strong in supporting all windows, iOS, and macOS systems, applications, and networking related.

Responsibilities

• Experienced in troubleshooting both desktop/laptop hardware and software.
• Single point of contact for end-users to log incident and service requests via email and hotline.
• Support user queries or issues are captured and validated for further processing.
• Coordinate with different support teams (including vendor coordination) to ensure issues are resolved with proper resolution recorded.
• Adhere to the SOP and Policy defined.
• Responsible for Call logging, Assignment, Incident Management & Coordination, Call Tracking and follow‐up until closure within the agreed SLA.
• Implementing best practices to reduce time and increase efficiency.
• Incident ownership, monitoring, tracking and communication with all parties.
• Focus on First Call resolution to ensure early closure of tickets.
• Day-to-day onsite IT support for hardware and software issues involving end-user desktops/notebooks, client’s network connectivity
• Install applications/software and apply updates/patches to desktops, notebooks and other end-user computing devices
• Preparation of desktop/notebook system image
• User account management (Account creation, deletion, modification, and reset password in accordance with Customer's process and procedures)
• Perform file backup, migration and restoration for end-users' desktops/notebooks

Requirements

• Higher Nitec and above in Information Technology or related field
• Provide IT technical service desk and onsite support for end-user services
• Support desktops, notebooks, printers and other hardware components.
• Minimum 3 years of IT (EUC) relevant experience with hands-on experience in Apple products, applications and networks.

Contract Type: 12 Months (Renewal)

Salary: SGD2,800 to SGD3,500

Location: Jurong, Suntec, East Coast, Punggol

Working Hours: Fixed shift
i. Mon – Fri 8:30 am to 4:30 pm (onsite), Sat 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. (onsite)

Core Key Responsibilities

•Investigate production issues, respond based on production defect severity SLAs

•Manage and respond to users on timely manner.

•Log incident ticket for production issues and user queries

•Follow up on defect and incident closure and meet incident closure KPI

•Make sure system availability as per respective agreed SLA

•Ensure daily start of day(SOD) and end of day(EOD) execution for supported applications complete successfully

•Provide support for annual Disaster Recovery (DR) exercise for supported applications

•Provide support to System Engineers on server level patches / upgrade as and when applicable

•Knowledge with 3rd party monitoring tools like Control-M, Geneos, Splunk, SQL Monitor

•Knowledge with Market Data, and Geneos monitoring setup and dashboard configuration

•Ensure application incident & task documentation is properly updated for each production release

•Enthusiastic, hardworking, proactive and goal-oriented, with excellent communication and presentation skills, demonstrated professionalism and attention to detail

•Proven ability to work and resolve production incidents under strict time constraints and provide workarounds using AS400/mainframe or unix shell or DB scripts etc

•Strong skills in AS400, Linux/Unix Shell scripting, MS SQL, Oracle, BMC Control-M Scheduler

•Good to have understanding and experience of ITIL methodology [service operation]

Key Requirements

•Prior hands-on production support experience of OPEN Systems/AS4000

•Good support knowledge in either one of the retail or wholesale payment or customer information systems

•Willing to work in onsite shift-support model [24*7]

•Hands-on experience in writing AS400 and SQL queries and parsing logs for issue investigation

•Hands-on experience in writing shell scripts (UNIX) and optimize incidents investigation

•Strong written, oral communication skills and able to manage user

•Ability to easily adopt to any technology / environment

•2 or more years’ production support experience in bank or financial vendors across multiple technologies / platform

•Be able to work in fast paced and high-pressure working environment

•Willingness to work across platforms – UNIX / open, AS/400 and mainframe
