Requirements

• Degree holder preferred
• Good knowledge of Treasury products (e.g. Securities, Derivatives, FX/MM) preferred
• Good understanding of Front to Back Trade operational processes especially settlements of any treasury products is an advantage
• Understand the principles of financial transactions, methods of payments and potential settlement/delivery issues
• Exhibits good communication and interpersonal skills, flexibility and accountability
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with good time management
• Innovative mindset and constantly on the lookout to improve efficiency
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

We are hiring a Trading Operator for a large commodities trading company, specifically within their energy trading division.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle day-to-day cargo operations and shipping operations for LPG
• Handle sales and purchase contracts, L/C, and other cargo and trading documents
• Handle recovery claims and demurrage from counterparties
• Liaise with buyers, sellers, shipping brokers, ship owners, terminal operators, joint ventures partners etc to ensure smooth operations, avoid supply disruption and minimise demurrage costs.
• Check and update the operations data in the system for analysis and reporting.
• Make reporting of market information (vessel fixtures, etc) to assist in chartering and trading
• Support Risk Management Analyst

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Maritime study or any related field with 1 year of experience with an Oil & Gas company
• Able to work in a team
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications and IT-savvy to be able to use other software/platform required for trading & operations
• Ability to work independently, as well as being a good team player with good communication skills;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
