Purpose of the Role:

The HR Manager will oversee all human resource functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance. Reporting to the CEO, the role involves ensuring HR policies align with business goals, fostering a positive workplace culture, and managing HR operations effectively. This position requires strong organisational skills, excellent communication, and a focus on supporting employee growth and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment and Onboarding:

1. Oversee the full recruitment cycle, including job postings, interview processes, and candidate selection.

2. Prepare and execute employment contracts, onboarding plans, and orientation programs for new hires.

HR Administration:

1. Maintain up-to-date personnel records, contracts, and compliance documents.

2. Manage employee benefits, including insurance plans and wellness initiatives.

3. Ensure timely preparation and submission of all required HR documentation, including work passes and compliance reports.

Employee Relations and Support:

1. Act as the first point of contact for employees regarding HR-related queries and issues.

2. Foster a positive workplace environment through engagement activities and addressing employee concerns.

3. Assist with leave management, including sick leave, maternity leave, and vacation scheduling, in coordination with finance.

Policy and Compliance:

1. Develop, update, and implement HR policies, ensuring they align with legal requirements and best practices.

2. Oversee and ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, including work passes and contracts.

3. Support the preparation and review of the company handbook, ensuring clarity and relevance.

Performance Management and Development:

1. Support the performance review process by assisting managers in setting objectives and preparing appraisal forms.

2. Recommend and coordinate employee training and development programs to enhance skills and growth.

3. Monitor and address performance issues, escalating to management where necessary.

Strategic HR Initiatives:

1. Contribute to workforce planning by identifying talent gaps and recruitment needs.

2. Collaborate with management on employee retention strategies and engagement programs.

3. Conduct market research to recommend competitive benefits and remuneration packages.

Additional Duties:

1. Support administrative tasks for the leadership team, including meeting arrangements, minute-taking, and travel coordination.

2. Assist with ad-hoc HR-related projects or initiatives as assigned by management.

3. Maintain confidentiality and act with discretion in handling sensitive HR matters.

Requirements and Skills:

· Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Office Management, or a related field.

· 3-5 years of HR management experience.

· Strong knowledge of employment laws and best practices, particularly in the Asia Pacific region.

· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.

· Experience with HR software (e.g., Quick HR or similar platforms).

· Proficiency in MS Office applications.

· Ability to prioritise important projects, manage workloads independently, and maintain a high degree of discretion and confidentiality.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Teams, Google Drive, SharePoint, and other Microsoft tools.

Working Conditions:

· Part-time role with flexible office hours, typically two days per week (Monday to Friday, 9 AM - 6 PM).

· Monthly salary ranges between SGD 2,320 and SGD 3,000, depending on qualifications and experience.

As part of our expanding operations in the APAC, we are now looking for an awesome Tax Manager to join our growing finance team in Singapore serving our APAC operations.

You’ll be part of a commercially-minded Global Tax team in Finance, helping to ensure our tax affairs are efficient, transparently compliant and slick so that our mission is sustainable. 

Your mission

• Manage the outsourced preparation of APAC corporate tax and withholding tax computations (e.g. Australia, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, India, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Philippines and Thailand). This includes adhering to controls, managing risks and identifying ways to automate and streamline manual tasks using existing systems or emerging technologies. 
• Work closely with Product and Banking teams on expansion of new products and licence applications to ensure tax requirements are met.
• Assist with the preparation of IFRS half year and year-end tax reporting and tax provisions for local statutory accounts and group reporting with the help of advisors where necessary. 
• Work closely with financial controllers, accounting, and finance system teams for sources of data and information, including directly extracting information from our ERP system.
• Support the on ad hoc research and projects, including expansion into new countries and liaising with external advisors to ensure tax requirements are met.
• Engage in team-wide initiatives including budgeting, forecasting, planning, risks and controls. It is important to be interested in and engaged in all tax initiatives and to work closely with all members of the tax team.

A brief summary of your job responsibility:

• Deliver projects and products using the appropriate agile project management methodology, learning & iterating frequently.
• Recommends the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements.
• Brings new products to market by analysing proposed product requirements and product development.
• Introduces and markets new products by developing time-integrated plans with marketing and production.

• Responsible to track the application bugs, assess impact and severity of bugs.
• Follow up and support assistance where required for team to resolve any impediments or issues they faced from their daily standup.
• Bridge communication between multiple teams (business and technical). This includes creating documentation or presentations when necessary.
• Measure project development velocity, perform and manage the project risks. Identify and escalate any important risk.
• Continuously gather user feedback, analyze market trends, and identify opportunities for product improvements and new features.
• Assist in government processes, such as procurement, project finance and any other administrative needs in accordance to government policies and documentation requirements

To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:

• Experience with project budgeting and assets procurement. Delivered complex and large applications in a cross-functional team setup.
• Eager to change and improve workflow and processes. Willing to assist team members. Strong ability in fostering teamwork and collaborations.
• Self-driven and motivated to learn and follow topics related to the projects
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills to devise practical solutions to tackle work issues
• Solid understanding of end-to-end agile software development process (Scrum and Kanban).
• Understand the project from the business and technical point of view
• Excellent communication skills. Able to communicate with technical and non-technical users.
• Preferred:

1. Experience with using, maintaining and customizing software development tools such as Confluence, SharePoint, Jira, etc.
2. Experience in ops-tech integration, AI/ ML creation and implementation, SAAS platform management, UI/UX design and research strategy, go-to market strategy for software services preferred
3. Understanding of government to government working relationship and familiarity with public service policies
4. Proven experience in defining and executing product strategies, roadmaps, and go-to-market plans.
