Job Description

As a Software Engineer for Rockwell Automation, you will have the opportunity to design and develop industry-leading commercial software known for its innovation and usability. You will also be responsible for performing intermediate level software testing tasks including, but not limited to, test development, planning, scheduling, and execution.

In this position, you will be a key player in subsystem design, implementation, and testing. You will play an active role in all the stages of the development lifecycle and support your team throughout the process. You will also help ensure that developed products meet requirements and are within total quality management standards. This position will allow you to collaborate with multiple global cross-functional teams and may also require you to be the technical lead of a small-scale feature or portion of a feature.

Essential Functions

• Collects, contributes to and documents requirements for a feature and its components, ensuring the information required for the development of software and corresponding test cases are contained in the specifications.
• Develops new subsystem designs or contributes to existing ones ensuring they meet the established requirements.
• Establishes a timeline and determines the resources needed to execute a design. Considers tradeoffs between requirements, speed, cost and reliability in the choice of a design approach. Provides progress reports, as needed.
• Implements and documents code that meets the requirements of the software design, develops and executes thorough unit test plans.
• Reports, analyzes, debugs and corrects anomalies, determines the origin and root cause of anomalies identified.
• Takes the lead in the integration of other components by solving problems within and across subsystems to produce a final product.
• Leads or participates in reviews of documents, designs, code, test cases and user documentation.
• Responsible for the maintenance and integrity of one or more software subsystems.
• Builds relationships and interacts with peers to ensure assigned tasks are prioritized appropriately.
• Takes the lead on identifying and recommending software development capability improvements in the areas of software development practices, development tools, and test automation.
• Thinks outside the box and is willing to research and explore new avenues to overcome obstacles by utilizing the latest technologies and standards.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
• Typically requires a minimum of two years of experience in a software product development environment

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with classification society and Brazilian regulatory compliance consultants to achieve the required project deliverables related to classification and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate and manage FPSO and Project regulatory requirement stemming from regulatory bodies (Authorities, Flag State, Class, etc)
• Lead, coordinate and manage the execution of the Regulatory Compliance Matrix, and other deliverables for FPSO Project.
• Point of contact with project disciplines, Class and Flag state representatives and surveyors while executing Regulatory Compliance Matrix (Class, Flag and Brazilian Regulations).
• Communicate with project team and instill awareness of regulatory requirement.
• Interface with project team, client, Class and authorities during execution of the Regulatory Compliance Plan and Matrix.
• Work with project team to deliver a regulatory-compliant FPSO and ensure Project complies to all applicable regulatory requirement.
• Facilitate the review, identification, and implementation of regulatory requirements along with Classification society and Brazilian Regulatory consultant for inclusion into project design, specification, and project activities.
• Check that documents and reports are in compliance with Brazilian requirements.
• Support the compilation and handover of Dossiers to the FPSO owner.
• Interface with authorities, project disciplines/functions and client reps for acquisition of permits, licenses and consents as needed.
• Establish vendor scope of works for authorities-related approvals, activities and inspections.
• Initiate preparation of all Class-required Manuals and Plans as per regulatory compliance matrix
• Formulate and record Flag state exemption applications and Class Rule deviation applications.
• Champion/expedite closure of Open Class/authorities/Brazilian regulatory comments (Technical and Survey) comments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Offshore and Marine Engineering/ or related engineering disciplines
• Minimum 3 years of working experience in regulatory compliance management with good understanding of Brazilian Regulatory requirements in oil and gas projects
• Familiar with terms and standards used in the marine and/or offshore industry
• Good proficiency in English (written and spoken)
• Advanced user of Microsoft Office products
• Some working knowledge and experience in site inspection standards, class rules requirements and industry codes on hull and structure in marine operations (i.e.SOLAS, MARPOL, IMO MODU Code, API Standards and ISO Standards)
• Experience in the design compliance and risk analysis studies in the projects

Job Summary:

The role of the Senior Engineer is to support the Engineering Manager in checking and approving drawings/designs of Surface Product to meet customer’s requirement, the Engineering and API Standards.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Purpose and Scope

• Provide performance and process expertise and operational excellence in Energy & Utilities assets (Power plant, Utilities plant, Energy from Waste, Wood Chip Boiler etc) management to ensure good plant availability, reliability and optimization.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Carry out plant performance monitoring, troubleshooting and optimization for Energy & Utilities assets (Combine Cycle Power Plants, Utilities Plants, Energy from Waste Plant, Wood Chip Boiler etc) to ensure good plant availability, reliability and optimization.
• Establish and continuous improve the monitoring matrix to enable detection of short term and long term process and performance abnormality. Work closely with O&M team to address the issues.
• Carry out quarterly performance test for power plants with operation team. Lead the performance test data analysis, identify the gap and improvement area, recommend the actions for rectification and follow through the implementation for closure.
• Monitor the plant water chemistry, and recommend the actions to be taken for process adjustment such as boiler blowdown control, and chemical injection etc.

Qualifications & Experience

• Process expertise in energy from waste sector and/or power plant water chemistry experience will be an advantage

1. Assist to the Engineering Manager to overview the engineering and design aspect upon confirmation of project. Based on Technical Agreement/ Specification, GA. Contract Requirement, and Scope of supply etc. via contract review to carry out design.
2. Co-ordinate with Engineering Manager, Purchasing Department and Production Department to generate drawings.
3. Preparing Drawing and submit for Approval; liaise with Customer/ Class on Technicality aspect to finalized on the design.
4. Based on Feedback/ Comments to prepare Working Plan incorporating all comments, and assist to Purchasing Department on the Material Requisition for Clarification of Approval.
5. Generate Test Protocol based on design output for the Commissioning Engineer and submit for approval. And prepare Instruction Manual and “Final Drawings” for Submission.

7. Seek and improve performance of product/ equipment and production process.

REQUIREMENT
