Position Overview:

As a Datacenter Infrastructure Field Application Engineer or Presales Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting and driving the sales of solutions within the datacenter infrastructure field. In this role, you will work closely with customers, sales teams, and other technical personnel to ensure the successful deployment and integration of CDU/Cooling systems in datacenter environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Expertise in CDU/Cooling Solutions: Possess in-depth knowledge of Data Center products, solutions, and services, keeping up-to-date with industry trends and technological advancements related to datacenter infrastructure.
• Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team to participate in customer meetings and presentations, understanding customer needs, and proposing appropriate solutions.
• Technical Consultation: Engage in technical discussions with customers to understand their datacenter infrastructure requirements and propose tailored solutions.
• Solution Design and Proposal: Create detailed technical proposals and designs that address customer requirements, including system configurations, power distribution, backup options, and monitoring capabilities.
• Project Management: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and installation teams to ensure the successful implementation and commissioning of systems in datacenter environments. Provide technical guidance and coordinate tasks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Demonstration and Training: Conduct technical demonstrations and training sessions for customers and sales teams to showcase the capabilities and benefits of solutions.
• Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, addressing their technical queries, providing post-sales support, and proactively identifying opportunities for additional solutions and services.
• Industry Expertise: Stay updated with the latest industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to datacenter infrastructure, power distribution, and systems.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field is preferred.
• Experience: Prior experience as a Field Application Engineer, Presales Engineer, or a similar role within the datacenter infrastructure industry, with a focus on CDU/Cooling solutions and power management. Experience in supporting sales teams and customers is highly desirable.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts and solutions to customers and internal stakeholders. Ability to deliver compelling presentations and demonstrations.
• Problem-solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify customer requirements, propose effective solutions, and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Project Management: Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Customer Focus: Demonstrated ability to understand customer needs and offer suitable solutions. Strong customer service orientation and ability to foster long-term customer relationships.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead, plan, and manage the project team while effectively communicating with internal and external stakeholders, including offshore development teams
• Provide regular progress reports to the Project Manager on assigned tasks and overall project status
• Actively engage in requirement clarification sessions with customers and create high-level system design documentation
• Take the lead in resolving issues, including investigation, fixing, testing, and releasing modules
• For any change requests, clarify customer expectations and collaborate with the (offshore) development team to define and implement the appropriate solution approach
• Conduct thorough reviews of project deliverables to ensure quality and accuracy
• Support the customer with any incidents or clarification needs related to the system

Job Requirements

• 8+ years of experience as system engineer in Application and Infrastructure projects
• Experience of leading development team
• Experience in full SDLC cycle with waterfall development model
• Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work
• Experience and Knowledge of application development using Java or .NET
• Knowledge of Linux Server, Oracle DB Server, Application server(like WAS, JBoss, etc)

• Knowledge of MQ(IBM MQ) and File transfer(SFTP)

Requirements

• Minimum polytechnic diploma in IT, computer engineering, or relevant experience
• Preferably have knowledge in cloud services (eg. Microsoft 365, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
• Preferably have knowledge in ticketing system (JIRA)
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem solving/troubleshooting skills
• Strong interest in technology
• Ability to communicate highly technical information to both technical and non-technical customer audience
• Ability to work independently and as a team in a dynamic environment
