Responsibilities:
- Identifies, troubleshoot problems and performs root cause analysis study of equipment failures, recurring breakdown, and equipment defects in order to take effective corrective and preventive
- Liaises closely with Engineering on technical specifications required for machinery fitting, documenting the project requirements for the arrangement of machinery, equipment and system installation work
- Assists with the preparation of procedures, risk assessment, HSE work method statement and etc. under the supervision of senior team members and Project Manager to ensure all the requirements have been fulfilled
- Prepares job-list, work schedule and planning of manpower resources (i.e. yard and contractors) and facilities, working closely with the team members
- Participates in project meeting with Project team members and stakeholders to note on project specifications and report on the status of the work progress
- Liaises closely with HSE department and subcontractors for proper on-site coordination, working with QA/QC team members, owners, statutory and classification authorities on inspection arrangement and compliance review
- Maintains the equipment/ machineries at the workshop and on-board, ensuring the proper working condition, timely calibration, repair, or servicing as required
- Understands emerging engineering practices by participating in educational opportunities, professional organisations; reading professional publications and maintaining personal networks
- Recommends changes to work method/ process by reviewing the workflow and work process to implement changes for improvement and to achieve operational effectiveness and functionality
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering/ Marine Engineering or related engineering disciplines
- Entry Level candidates are welcome to apply (On Job Training will be provided)
- Excellent proficiency in English (written and spoken)
- Must be able to board ships, enter confined spaces with limited visibility and have the ability to climb up and down stairs and/or ladders of varying heights.
- Good in planning, organizing, and interpersonal skills and able to work independently
