Responsibilities:

• Conduct laboratory experiments to collect comprehensive data & data analysis under the guidance of metrologists and scientists.
• Perform and develop various analytical techniques and methods, such as X-ray CT for quantitative porosity/defect and internal structure characterization and analysis
• Gas sensor testing platform for chemical compositions assessment
• Design AM artefacts to various geometries & defects with metrology consideration.
• Maintain accurate records of experimental data and observations, and assist in the preparation of reports and presentations.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot experimental issues and propose innovative solutions.

The applicant will also work on precision measurement and national measurement standards on physical parameters and chemical compositions. He/She will involve in measurement knowledge transfer program such as training and consulting services to develop measurement competency and provide measurement solution to the industry.

Job Requirement

A degree in physical science or engineering or relevant background; Postgraduate degree would be an advantage.

• Familiarity with instrumentation and digital systems used for measurement and testing.
• Possessing any of the following expertise will be preferred:

- Proficiency in data analytics and modeling

- Knowledge of Statistics, Machine Learning (ML), and their practical applications

- Competence in programming languages such as Python, Matlab, or C++
