Job Responsibilities:

The VP, Strategic Intelligence Lead Analyst C13) position is a high visibility role requiring proven experience in intelligence analysis, corporate program management, and leading quickly developing programs. If you have the following, we would like to talk to you:

• Bachelor’s degree required and advanced degrees welcomed.
• Minimum of seven (7) years of analytical experience
• Previous experience with security intelligence analysis (private or government), geopolitical risk, or relevant experience in large, complex environments. Previous experience with private sector organization is preferred. Experience with cyber threat intelligence/analysis a plus.
• Self-motivated and independent operator with the ability and maturity to make decisions in the absence of detailed instructions and operate in fast paced and dynamic settings.
• Excellent project management skills and experience and the ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously to execute daily duties with minimal supervision.
• Ability to conduct effective and combined qualitative and quantitative intelligence analysis to provide impactful findings and holistic understanding of threat issues.
• Proven track record of unit level implementation of open and non-open source intelligence gathering techniques, including strong use of commercial databases and expansive online research.
• Demonstrated examples of process/procedure development and implementation to improve effectiveness and efficiencies.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively through all levels of the organization and across multiple time zones.
• A professional network of industry and government relationships.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
• Master’s degree preferred

Responsibilities:

• Monitor global crude oil markets trend, analyse price and premium movements, spreads, and market indicators to identify trading opportunities.
• Evaluate the factors influencing crude oil prices and premiums, including production levels, geopolitical risks, market speculation, and transportation logistics etc…
• Analyse and provide forecast on global and regional demand for crude oil, focusing on economic growth, transportation trends, industrial usage, and government policies.
• Evaluate supply factors, including production capacity, strategic reserves, OPEC decisions etc…
• Provide insights into how supply-demand dynamics influence crude oil pricing and trading strategies.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly market reports for the trading team.
• Maintain and update databases of market data, trade information, and historical price data.
• Develop and maintain analytical models and tools to support trading decisions.

Requirements:

• Degree in Business Analyst, International Trading, Economic or any related field
• At least 2 years’ experience in trading, market analysis, or a related role within the oil and gas industry
• Strong understanding of global crude oil markets, including pricing methodology, premiums, supply, and demand dynamics etc…
• Proficiency in trading platforms and data analysis tools
• Proficiency in speaking and writing Mandarin is essential for effective communication with China counterparts and head office
