Commodities KYC Analyst

Our client is a leader within the commodities industry looking to expand their KYC team.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive due diligence for new counterparties across all risk categories, including soliciting KYC (Know Your Customer) details, evaluating and authenticating submitted documentation, inputting data into KYC platforms, and conducting a detailed analysis of the counterparty risk.
• Undertake the review and validation of KYC compliance for existing counterparties, on both a scheduled basis and in response to new developments.
• Execute screening for negative media coverage and monitoring, identification of Politically Exposed Persons (PEP), adverse news filtering, and compilation of KYC documentation for review by executive leadership.
• Identify and escalate high-risk client profiles to executive management, the Compliance team, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), and the Sanctions Team as necessary.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Business, Accounting or any other relevant degree
• 5 years of experience within banks or the commodities industry looking across the oil/gas market

Responsibilities

• Conduct quantitative research and statistical analysis for the development of trading strategies;
• Optimize trading algorithms to extract actionable insights and identify key factors of alpha generation;
• Work closely with the investment team to effectively integrate quantitative analysis into investment decision-making process;
• Present and communicate quantitative research findings and strategic insights to stakeholders;
• Keep updated with the latest developments in quantitative finance, financial markets, and equity research to continually enhance trading strategies and research methodologies.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in quantitative finance, computer science, mathematics or a related field;
• Detailed knowledge of equity markets and analytics with 2-3 years of relevant experience;
• Strong understanding of statistical analysis and quantitative methods including non-stationary statistics, time series analysis, factor models, dimension reduction and machine learning techniques;
• Proficient in Python or other programming languages commonly used in data analysis and finance;
• Demonstrated analytical and conceptual thinking skills, with a focus on finance and investment;
• Self-starter with positive attitude and a good team player;
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with fluency in both English and Chinese.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements gathering sessions to understand business problems and understand how the proposed system enhancements will address these problems while assessing impact to existing functionality and business processes.
• Working alongside business team to establish business needs and convert them into technical requirements. Guide the Development Team on building the required solution.
• Spearhead various mapping sessions for EOS and FOSS Governance on various UI, Interfaces, Data Migration tracks.
• Be part of a scrum team and participate in daily stand-ups, lead grooming sessions, author user stories, attend sprint planning sessions, provide feedback in retrospectives.
• Be engaged throughout the whole project life cycle, from Inception through post-production Transition.
• Candidates should be self-starters, able to multi-task, and be comfortable working with technical and business teams and should always demonstrate DBS PRIDE Values.
• Demonstrate team work ethic and dynamic attitude through effective interaction with all people involved in the programme across Business, Operations and Technology Teams.

Requirements

• 4-10 years of experience in Tech Business Analyst role for business process & technology change within financial institutions.
• Domain knowledge and work experience on EOS Governance and FOSS Governance will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge in Agile methodologies.
• Strong quantitative, analytical, problem solving and process/system architecture/data structure design skills.
• Strong in using Decision support tools and Excel and gather metrics for decision making.
• Able to translate user requirements and analysis into technical requirements, and solution to meet objectives.
• A self-starter and learner who takes the initiative to challenge the status quo.
• Detail oriented and able to join the dots for bigger picture.
• Good written and verbal communication skill, able to present and facilitate meetings & workshop.

• To assess the credit proposals/rating applications put up by Marketing
