Job Description :
* Work closely with and provide I.T support for OTC (Over the Counter) oil products desk
* Offer L1 technical support to users via phone, remote assistance, and email.
* Manage the escalation, tracking, and resolution of incidents, service requests, and problems professionally and promptly.
* Manage and support organizations’ IT infrastructure, security systems and telephony.
* Develop, implement, and update IT policy, operating procedures with best practices.
* Assess and enhance IT infrastructure solutions to meet business needs.
* Assist with computer and software issues like Microsoft, servers, and security.
* Provide on-site support as required.
* Assist with other administrative tasks when needed.
* Technical Support: Provide technical assistance and support to end-users, both remotely and in-person, to resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues.
* Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical problems, including but not limited to computer malfunctions, network connectivity issues, and software glitches.
* Hardware and Software Maintenance: Maintain, repair, and upgrade computer systems, peripherals, and software applications, as necessary.
* User Training: Offer training to end-users on how to use hardware, software, and other IT tools effectively and securely.
* Backup Recovery: Set up and manage data backup solutions and ensure data recovery procedures are in place.
* Inventory Management: Keep track of hardware and software inventory, including licenses and warranties, and perform regular audits.
* Vendor Liaison: Communicate with external vendors and service providers to resolve technical issues and procure necessary equipment.
Job Requirements:
* Minimum Diploma / Degree in Informatics, Computer Science, IT Engineering or Equivalent
* Proven experience in IT support, preferably in a help desk or technical support role, especially on the trading floor - will be a plus.
* Should candidates have experience in the brokering industry (Oil & Gas), knowledge in - ICE, CLoud9, IPC, MFC Setups; is preferred.
* Proven and strong troubleshooting ability’s
* Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
* Office 365 support experience
* Good knowledge of windows server 2019 and above
* Active directory administration
* Experience of Azure hybrid environment
* Understanding of DNS and DHCP
* Good knowledge of networks and networking
* Ability to work on new tasks and to be able to research unaided
* Experience in Remotely support users
* Experience in working in a highly secure domain
* Excellent understanding of hardware and software
* Knowledge of FortiGate’s (nice to have not essential)
* Experience of supporting users with SharePoint
