The Opportunity

The NPDI (New Product Development and Introduction) under MTO (Microfluidic Technology & Operation) is an organization working to develop new technology and deliver winning products to marketplace. This System Interaction Engineering team is focus on delivering the technology and products by validating the interaction and integration of the supplies in the print systems. The team supports a diverse portfolio in print business- Home, Office, Large Format Design and Large Format Production Printer segments. The broad range of products provide the team great opportunities to work on different technology, expose to different market segments and multiple opportunities for career development.

• Partner with the R&D, NPI and Manufacturing teams for both Supplies and Printer organizations to deliver on program deliverables.
• Conduct User Testing to validate Firmware and Software at product level to meet or exceed customer experience.
• Collaborate with Supplies Quality team to analyze customer rejects and define product improvement to address top customer concerns.
• Automate and digitize current testing for better efficiency and effectiveness.

Your Background

• Bachelor's or master’s degree in Software Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Typically, 4-7 years’ experience.
• Experience in software development and good Python coding experience.
• Strong technical engineering leadership and capabilities.
• Effective leadership on planning, execution, and issue resolution.
• Demonstrated analytical and empirical problem-solving skills.

The expansion of Ampcontrol has created a unique opportunity for a Communication Systems Engineer, based at our Singapore Operations.

You will execute the delivery of complete automation systems through design, software development, office testing, implementation, commissioning and modification.

As a Communication Systems Engineer, your solutions for automation and control system network design will help drive that advantage.

The following skills or experience would be advantageous:

• Experience in other PLC and SCADA platforms
• Extensive experience in the design and manufacture of electrical equipment and control systems

Role and Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure
• Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools
• Participate in the design of information and operational support systems
• Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
• Provide enterprise-wide support to a high level of Microsoft Windows, VMWare & Linux Redhat.
• Provide support in a 24/7 environment and would require to work on-call at least 1 week every month

Requirements

• Diploma in Computer Science or related technology disciplines
• Possess initiative, positive attitude and strong passion in operation support
• Good communication skills and able to work independently;
• 2+ years of experience
• Proficient with Windows Server, VMWare and Linux Redhat

Responsibilities

• Responsible for Hardware and software installation, upgrade, and maintenance (i.e., system backup, apply latest system patches, software upgrades, and hardware troubleshooting).
• Install, configure, test and troubleshoot networks, servers and other infrastructure.
• Where applicable, provide second level support for VMware, Windows servers, Active Directory, and other IT infrastructure.
• Monitor availability of services ensuring it meets the agreed service levels and performance indicators.
• Excellence in communication skills as a liaison with vendors and other IT personnel to resolve issues.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Electronic Engineering / Computer science
• Minimum of 1 years working experience
• Hands-on knowledge of System and Network
• Hands-on experience with Windows environment and experience in troubleshooting, configuring servers and email support will be advantageous.
