Your Job

As a Test Engineer, your primary purpose is to drive quality, yield, and productivity improvements. You will manage the new product release to manufacturing and address any problems affecting the smooth operation of parts. You are responsible for all testing activities related to the transfer of new testers from the design center to the manufacturing plant, including working with the design team to qualify new test systems and propose test limits. Your role also involves sourcing and assembling tester components locally, setting up, and debugging test software and hardware.

You will be part of the Data-Com and Specialty Solutions Division, reporting to a Senior Engineer, Principal Engineer, or Department Manager. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with a variety of contacts, including assembly subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, QA Engineers, and Product Design Engineers. This teamwork ensures the seamless integration of innovative solutions and product designs in production processes.

What You Will Do

• Responsible for all testing activities related to new tester transfer from design center to manufacturing plant. Work with design team qualifying new test system, proposing test limit.
• Sourcing, assembling all tester components locally, set up and debugging test software and hardware.
• Tester maintenance for on-line/off-line High-Performance testers, Cirris, BERT, OCR, Robert, etc.
• Perform electrical testing, high speed tester support used in the manufacturing of High-Speed cable assemblies based on standards such as Ethernet, Infiniband, Fibre Channel, PCIe, SAS, SATA, etc.
• Integration of custom designed circuit boards and mechanical fixtures with off-the-shelf test equipment such as digital sampling oscilloscopes, TDR modules and network analyzers.
• Integrate software upgrades into high-speed test systems. Work closely with design centers on software improvement feedback to improvise the system for better solutions.
• Perform electrical testing of High-Speed cable assemblies, analyze test data using statistical modeling tools, identify critical to quality aspects of product design and manufacturing process, perform root cause / corrective action analysis, and provide reports to summarize findings.
• Work closely with multifunctional teams to upgrade globally deployable automated production test systems for cable assembly products. Maintain records for project execution, schedule, and budget. System design includes activities such as mechanical fixture design, PCB design, hardware integration, software development, system documentation, performance testing and characterization, etc.
• Create and execute test plans, conduct software reviews, perform system verification and validation, analyze, and resolve failure modes and document the results.

• Introduction of new solutions / technologies in the design of production processes.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Possess a degree or diploma in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Production Engineering, Systems, or Computer fields.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with test equipment and measuring instruments.
• Proficient in compiled programming languages such as C/C++ or VB/C# within the Microsoft .NET framework.
• Skilled in using scripted programming languages like Python.
• Strong analytical ability to apply logical reasoning, test assumptions, observe results, and make corrections.

What Will Put You Ahead

• 2-5 years of progressive engineering experience with a robust understanding of high-speed testing and design.
• Extensive experience with RF/microwave test and measurement equipment such as digital sampling oscilloscopes, TDR modules, and network analyzers.
• Knowledge of RF/microwave transmission line theory, including s-parameters, Fourier transforms, and characteristic impedance.
• Experience with relational databases using software like Microsoft SQL or MySQL.
• Exposure to RF/microwave circuit design and PCB layout with tools like Mentor Graphics PADS or Cadence Allegro, and familiarity with advanced PCB fabrication methods.

About the role

Duty Engineer

The Duty Engineer plays a crucial role in overseeing all engineering operations within the hotel. This includes delegating tasks to subordinates, coordinating engineering activities, and implementing preventive maintenance programs. He/she will ensure compliance with maintenance standards, monitor supplies, and respond to emergency breakdowns. Additionally, the Duty Engineer handles minor projects, ensures systems are well-maintained, and promotes energy conservation measures. The incumbent also conducts inspections, leads daily meetings, and trains subordinates while enforcing hotel policies.

What you will do

• Oversee delegation of daily tasks to subordinates, aligning with maintenance programs such as Perfect Room Program (PRP) and Preventive Maintenance Program (PMP)
• Coordinate all engineering activities hotel-wide
• Develop and execute PMP for engineering equipment/systems including those under Maintenance Contracts, ensuring strict adherence to PMP standards. Monitor and maintain records of preventive maintenance activities.
• Manage inventory levels of engineering supplies and ensure timely replenishment
• Respond to emergency breakdowns promptly and see through to resolution. Manage minor engineering projects and provide updates to the Assistant Director of Engineering.
• Ensure all M&E, ACMV, fire and safety systems are well maintained and checked periodically.
• Implement and promote energy conservation measures, seeking opportunities for improvement.
• Lead daily meetings and guide subordinates by training and developing their career growth.
• Ensures that all subordinates conform to the hotel’s employee handbook and policies such as grooming and behaviour.
• Conduct daily inspections of engineering plant rooms and random inspections of work performed by subordinates.

What you bring

• Preferably a Diploma holder in Building/Facilities Engineering or its equivalent
• Minimum four (4) years as Building/Facilities Technician with hands-on skills, and/or minimum two (2) years as a Senior Technician/M&E Supervisor/Maintenance Officer or equivalent, with strong Technical knowledge

Schedule & Hours:

As a DevOps Specialist, you will be required to:

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of the Instrument & Control ITP inspection and test in compliance with rules and Tai Power requirement.
• Ensuring that the deliverables from engineering, fabrication, and principal contractors are of the right quality, according to company and industry requirements
• Supporting engineering design review and provide feedback from basic design, details design up to shop drawings such as SCADA, CCTV, Helideck weather monitoring, ESD, telecommunication, F&G
• Interpreting, implementing, and documenting the overall control philosophy across the wind farm components
• Preparing Instrument & Control equipment technical spec and RFQ for supporting procurement team during quotation sourcing
• Participate in preparation and review of Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) of the wind farm offshore substations (OSS) and commissioning procedure.
• Involving in EC/MC completion test package preparation to ensure construction completion handed over as per sequence and schedule
• Perform a daily supervision of the installation and commissioning
• Attending daily call out inspection and work closely with shipyard construction team, QA and commissioning team
• Involving in wind farm OSS final acceptance test / Proof Concept test procedure preparation.
• Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) for wind farm OSS equipment
• Involving in O&M procedure preparation and conducting OSS maintenance execution during operation.

Statement Of Purpose (Overall Purpose of Job)

In charge of the execution of all Solar Installation works inclusive of planning, scheduling, controlling, coordination and ensure works carried out are in accordance to approved shop drawings / specification and complete within the completion date. In addition, budget control and contract administration.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
(A) Specific :

• Evaluate costing received for electrical works.
• Vet through shop drawings to ensure all are in compliance to technical specifications / authority requirements prior to submission.
• Liaise and have meetings with Clients and Consultants on technical resolution / clarification, inspection and submission.
• To be the lead contact point for all Project issues.
• To attend weekly site meeting.
• To build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationship and meet Client’s expectations.

To perform all roles and responsibilities required of site supervisors under the Building Control Act

• Ensure that the M&E works are constructed in accordance with drawings and specifications and the Building Control Act and Regulations

• Monitor and report on the progress of works

• Carry out inspection of M&E engineering works prior to concreting, subsequent construction work and defects rectification works

• To carry out supervision and inspection of the works as directed by the Supervision QP, SRE, consultants or Superintending Officer

• To manage and supervise the Resident Technical Officer under his charge

• Ensure records of all mechanical and engineering works including records of tests, defect rectification, inspections, work progress, material and equipment on site, safety, etc, are timely updated

• Attending site, progress, variation and coordination meetings • Verifying all reports and claims relating to M&E works submitted by the contractors

• Liaise with all relevant authorities and stakeholders to maintain proper and updated daily records of all works done.

Requirements:

• Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience as a mechanical and electrical engineer, of which at least three (3) years shall be in supervision of works similar in nature to major construction works in buildings, services laying and lighting & control systems.
