General Duties:

• Assures the regularity of the production operations (reactions, distillation, transfers etc..)
• Verifying the control panels and control instruments (DCS, alarms, etc.) the process parameters.
• To carry out plant areas patrol to ensure orderliness during the shift.
• Check and ensure that the documentation record is properly (to inform when any deviation or missing data, wrong data record etc.).
• Ensure that the entire operations are following quality, EHS and SOP requirements.
• Carry out daily housekeeping and meets the acceptable standard (5S).
• To ensure all the routine works is carried out as per instruction.
• Collaborates with the Warehouse to pick up materials (raw material and / or process solvents) from delivery areas to the shop floor
• To have a positive mindset of continue update himself by take-up of internal or external training for further requirement.
• To participate in company activities (TPM, KYT, Near miss and Kaizen etc.).
• Set and achieve targets.

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least NITEC in Chemical related courses
• Must have a good working attitude, good safety and GMP compliance knowledge.
• Must be able to perform 3 rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Experience in a pharmaceutical or chemical process plant will be an added advantage.

Job Description:

• Integrate and install auto-mechanical/ electrical/ electronic subcomponents /robot/equipment according to process instructions
• Carry out calibration/acceptance test on sub-systems/robot/vehicle/equipment according to process instructions
• Perform functional checks, setting, testing, fault finding and failure analysis
• Service and troubleshoot of Auto-mechanical / Electronics / Electrical control system

Job Requirements:

• Minimum qualification of NITEC in Mechatronics/Electronics/ Electrical/Robotics & Smart Systems or related discipline
• Candidates with 2 to 3 years’ experience in automotive or relevant industrial experience will also be considered
• Perform troubleshooting and fault analysis on Hydraulic/Pneumatic/ Electronics/ Electrical systems
• Basic understanding of electrical/electronic circuit
• Able to perform analytical and diagnostics with measuring equipment like Digital Meter & Scope
• Advantage with class 3 driving licence
• Willing to travel overseas

JOB PURPOSE

As a member of the production shift team, the job holder will operate and monitor the chemical production activities in the plant, ensuring that the product is manufactured within set production schedule and to the required standards of quality in a safe, efficient, responsible and cost effective manner.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP

The job holder will report to the Shift Supervisor and his deputy working alongside with other chemical technicians.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Operate the different streams of the plant for their specific processes. Each of these processes comprises the following activities.

• Handover checks computerised and/or manual.
• Obtaining, following and completing process related documentation.
• Pre and post batch cleaning of vessels and lines.
• Pre batch checks.
• Charging vessels either manually or via a pump.
• Post charging checks and taking corrective action where necessary.
• Adjusting and monitoring process conditions as required to start the process.
• Monitoring process; both with computer and manually observing temperature, pressure, flow, pH, volume, colour, moisture content and adjusting the parameters accordingly.
• Carrying out routine sampling and Bulk packing and testing of samples as required.
• Recognise end point of the reaction and altering process parameter to stop reaction.
• Transferring product to the next stage.

1. Comply with HSE and quality policies and defined procedures. Bring out unsafe conditions and acts / procedures for correction.
2. Record all operational and analytical data on the appropriate documents and inform the Shift Supervisor of any process abnormalities.
3. Maintain product separation and accurate labelling of all documents, bags and vessels at all times.
4. Carry out routine checks and scheduled cleaning procedures including cleanrooms.
5. Request and collect raw materials and consumables, observe clean areas procedures, monitor raw materials stock and notify Shift Supervisor for any abnormalities.
6. Notify Shift Supervisor of requirements for maintenance. Prepare equipment before maintenance work e.g. depressurizing, cleaning of lines and equipment, de-energizing, LOTO etc.
7. Perform basic maintenance of equipment using tools such as TPM.
8. At the Shift Supervisor's request, to carry out on-the-job training of other Chemical Technicians, incorporating cGMP and safety procedures.
9. To observe cGMP and Health & Safety rules and regulations at work at all times in accordance with Company set standards.
10. To be aware of the potentially hazardous nature of the chemicals in the area and must take the appropriate precautions when using them.
11. Maintain housekeeping of the plant and provide suggestions for improvements.
12. To operate ancillary facilities e.g. water system, tank farms, solvent recovery etc.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum NITEC or Higher NITEC in Chemical Processing or related
• Must be prepared to work shifts.
• Must be resourceful, conscientious, dedicated and a good team player.
• Adequate formal and on-the-job training on the chemical processes will be given.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

• Use of process control systems for operation of plant equipment
• Operation of manufacturing equipment such reactors, centrifuges, filters, dryers etc
• Cleaning and maintaining cleanliness and condition of cleanroom facility
• Implement cleaning and changeover of equipment
• Apply GMP in manufacturing processes
• Manage materials and materials flow according to established SOP and BRS
• Able to identify and manage hazards that may occur within biopharmaceutical plant
• Verify that routine manufacturing processes are consistently within a state of control
• In-process analysis to verify that results are within targets
• Able to perform line tracing using P&ID
• Able to do simple mechanical task such as filter changes.

GENERIC SKILLS

• Communicate information with others to respond to general inquiries and obtain specific information
• Digital literacy: Able to use computer software to perform basic functions
• Interpersonal skills to be able to work with the team and with other departments
• Basic problem solving to solve simple problem

Responsibilities

1. Operate the process to meet the conditions specified in manuals/instructions.
2. Operate the process equipment at site in accordance with operation plan.
3. To maintain and make sure that all equipment are in good working condition.
4. To prepare chemical solutions according to SOP and guideline.
5. Assist in coordination of daily maintenance, and participating in maintenance activities and shutdown/start-up of sections.
6. To perform 5S and ensure a secure, clean and safe work area.

Requirements

• Minimum ITE or Diploma holder; Engineering or Chemistry field preferred
• Experience in chemical engineering and analytical procedures preferred
• Good working attitude; responsible and initiative
• Possess the "hands-on" attitude

Remuneration Package

• Basic: S$1,800 – S$2,500
• Working hours: 5.5 work week (Mon-Fri: 8am – 5pm; Sat: 8am – 12pm)

Description

4. To maintain the inventory of all laboratory facilities/ equipment
5. To check, record and report on the inventory of all laboratory supplies
6. To carry out calibration and maintenance of all laboratory equipment as per schedule or instructed
7. To ensure good housekeeping in the laboratory
8. To follow the existing system and documentation as per the procedures
9. To update the relevant records

Requirements:

• At least ITE or Diploma in Chemistry/Chemical Process Technology/Material Science or equivalent
• Working experience in precious metal/ base metal is an added advantage.
• Good analytical abilities and communication skills

Remuneration:

• Salary: $2,000 - $2,400
• Working hours: Monday to Friday (8am – 5.45pm)
