Overall Job Purpose

To independently handle sustainability deliverables, manage various scope of works defined by corporate or project team effectively and efficiently according to the specified technical requirements, timelines and budget; assist lead engineer or manager in research and development task and resolve any arising issues during sustainability implementations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates with different disciplines to collect the Lessons Learnt and Life Cycle value improvement ideas, to sort out into different categories and to update/improve design standards.
• Proposes, conducts, and participates studies of new technology related to Company business, such as CO2 emission calculation and reduction, decarbonatization, Ammonia and so on.
• Assists his/her seniors in strategy planning for new products of Modec business, i.e., offshore wind farm, H2 energy, Ammonia energy, carbon capture system (CCS) and so on.
• Coordinates the specialists from Core Team (Technical expert group) to solve the critical issues arising from EPC projects or offshore fleets.
• With sufficient experience accumulated, may assumes role of R&D lead of the assigned initiatives, and monitor the progress for research topics from both Modec entities and external collaborators (universities, research institutes and consultants etc.).
• Independently communicates with all stakeholders, i.e., consultant, classification body, clients, internal engineering disciplines and implements the sustainability program as required by client specification or classification notation (ABS SUSTAIN and DNV ABATE etc.).
• Provides technical advice pertaining sustainability related topic during project bidding / FEED, EPCI and operational stage.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil/structural/mechanical/ship building/environmental/chemical/Electrical engineering/computer science etc. or above. Alternatively, Diploma in Engineering with relevant years of working experience.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant working experience in engineering in oil and gas sector or shipyard industries for bachelor’s degree holder, Minimum 5-year relevant experience for master’s degree holder, or minimum 3-years relevant experience for PhD degree holder or 12 or more years of relevant working experience for diploma holders.

The Department and Position

The department is responsible for development and maintenance of Capital Market applications used by worldwide users.

“Run the bank” is the first mission of IT department. It involves many front line IT professionals who understand the nature of business operations, timing of activities & data flowing through internal and external systems.They are continuously working with business users, infrastructure engineer and system managers.

The candidate will join the Singapore Capital Market Run the bank team in charge of running applications for the “Transversal ops” domain: Intellimatch, Glory, Citynet, MtM Client, Globalview Collat, KFEE, etc. The team works closely with other teams supporting Front-Office applications (Murex, Apex, Orchestrade…), Back-Office applications (Summit, Calypso…), Market data referentials and Market Risk applications.

Key Responsibilities

Application monitoring responsibilities

• Define and implement in coordination with the build team the needed application monitoring. Supervise and monitor daily and monthly chains and handle user request by working closely with project, infrastructure and production teams.
• Support overnight batches which take place during the Singapore Morning and early afternoon time to ensure that problems are swiftly analyzed and resolved to minimize down-time.
• Process and issue daily, weekly and monthly reporting on data quality of risk chain in which the activity is usually more intense on monthly run.

Incidents and Requests management (business users and others IT teams)

• Provide level 1 and level 2 application support to business users (trader, risk manager, market risk monitoring operator, back-office and middle-office analyst, market data administrator,…)
• Analyze and manage incidents/problems/requests.

Problem management and continuous improvement

• Prepare and maintain knowledge base for each of the application in the scope of the team in coordination with the build team and the ops team.
• Collaborate with build team to assess the priority of the problem and follow-up the resolution, even contributing to the definition of long term solution.
• Provide non-functional requirement to the build team to implement monitoring as code whenever available.

The Support analyst should have a pro-active mindset in security, incident preventive measures, productivity and global improvement of the quality of service. Candidate should have a strong appetite in the capital market functional business.

Qualifications and Profile

• Candidates should have 5+ years experience in application support activity.
• ITIL certification.
• Good understanding of Capital Markets Domain and Exposure to Capital Market FO/BO systems

To build a single cell reference atlas suitable for diverse population groups, we seek to characterise the impact of genes and environment on molecular traits in cells from diverse individuals across the globe. Specifically, we aim to uncover the influence of genetics, ancestry, age and sex on human phenotypes in health and disease.

We are looking for team members who will develop cutting-edge AI/machine learning methods and pipelines to integrate and interrogate gene expression and regulatory profiles of >10 million cells from thousands of donors. Job Summary

He/She will be a technical RUN expert for all Unix/Linux services. As such, he/she will provide BAU support and act as the last level of escalation point for all production support activities within the Unix/Linux team in Singapore. He/She is accountable for the overall health and stability of the technical solutions within his scope. He/She has to work effectively with technical peers such as architects, peer experts and project teams on technology road maps and projects. He/She will have control over the scope of technical activities, develop best practices, manage knowledge and ensure the necessary trainings are imparted to the team wherever applicable.

The Unix/Linux team operates the RUN activities and delivers projects for its infrastructure scope covering Redhat, Solaris, HP-UX, Veritas Geocluster and MC/Service Guard in a heterogeneous environment running NFS, Centrify, NIS and LDAP with HPE and Sun-Oracle hardware.

Job Detailed Description

An Expert has a wide spectrum of responsibilities and actions.

As an expert of his/her team, he/she:

• assigns technical tasks and manages delegation for technical issues,
• animates the team to encourage collaboration and sharing of best practices,
• has a role in supporting technical skills development and provides training when required.
• supports new technologies and leverages them to provide consistency of service across streams,
• manages service improvements for all Unix/Linux services supported throughout the organization,
• documents, reviews, maintains and shares relevant technical information to the team
• provides technical direction, supports services both proactively and reactively to maintain the availability and reliability of system infrastructure in accordance to the SLA,
• implements and develops improvements based on LEAN-CA-CIB best practices,
• focuses on automation and optimum use of the team to improve efficiency,
• drives and delivers root cause for any high severity issue,
• reviews technology changes to identify potential risks,
• is responsible for problem management and resolution.

As an experienced professional in Unix/Linux Services, he/she:

• supports his/her team during diagnosis when technical issues rise in his/her scope of expertise,
• is aware of the global IT structure so that he/she anticipates interrelationships within the organization,
• engages with technical peer, Service managers, Architect and project teams on technology roadmap and projects,
• facilitates transformation projects and suggest future directions for new areas of improvement and change,
• guarantees the production readiness and license to operate of new projects and solutions,
• is available and able to drive technically, any complex or high severity incidents that occur within the scope of their role,
• actively engages to understand new technologies and technology trends and reviews them with a view to incorporating them into CACIB operations,
• actively assist in identifying the most technical skilled candidates for open roles,
• technically coach and develop partner resources to improve quality and productivity,
• defines the technical skillset required to support CA-CIB technologies.

As the escalation point of contact for Clients, he/she:

• manages the daily relationship with Clients including planning, requests clarification, risks mitigation and service quality.

Legal and Regulatory responsibilities, he/she:

• complies with all applicable legal, regulatory and internal Compliance requirements, including, but not limited to, the Singapore Compliance manual and Compliance policies and procedures as issued from time to time; Financial Security requirements, including, but not limited to, the prevention of Financial Crime and Fraud including reporting obligations to the Money Laundering Reporting Officer.

• completes all mandatory training as required to attain and maintain competence.

Job Specific Environment and/or Organization

• Working hours will be in rotating shifts and primarily to cover Europe business hours
• On-call support will be expected on a rotational basis on both weekdays and weekends

Candidate Profile

Mandatory track record

• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in managing Unix/Linux environment with about 3-5 years of experience in financial institutes.
• Must be a bachelors/engineering graduate.
• Subject matter expert on technologies – Redhat 6/7/8, Solaris 10/11, HP-UX 11.31, Veritas Infoscale Cluster and MC/Service Guard Cluster.
• In depth hands on knowledge/experience with NFS, NIS, LDAP, Centrify, Redhat Satellite, KVM Virtualization, LDOM/OVM and HPE & Sun-Oracle hardware.
• Well versed with Scripting and Automation (Ansible, Python, Bash).
• Knowledge and/or hands on working experience with emerging technologies – Cloud IaaS, Hadoop Big Data, Network/Security basics, Storage/Backup basics, HyperV/ESX basics.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and logical skills.
• Customer service oriented and a strong team player.
• Ability to work under pressure and a commitment to solving issues.
