Responsibilities:

• Write scripts to validate that the code meets technical and functional specifications.
• Regularly interact with business customers to address technical needs and provide support.
• Drive the design and architecture of the system, preparing for new technical implementations (hardware, platforms, product deployments).
• Provide third-level support for server operations, including managing incidents, requests, change orders, and root cause analyses (RCAs).
• Automate routine tasks to improve efficiency and conduct data collection for system reporting.
• Participate in planning future Z Series engineering services and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts and Application Development Teams to manage access and performance in both production and development mainframe environments.
• Document standard operating procedures, reviewing security access rules to ensure compliance with standards.
• Develop an understanding of required activities for executing application support functions.
• Contribute to audits in collaboration with the Application Support Manager/Lead.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in UNIX and Linux internals.
• Expertise in shell scripting to automate tasks and validate code.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, time-sensitive production environment.
• Strong communication skills for effectively exchanging information with customers and colleagues.
