Position Overview:
The Technical Assistant is directly accountable to the Fleet Manager, providing support in overseeing and managing the technical aspects of fleet operations. Responsibilities include assisting with vessel maintenance, ensuring compliance, handling technical documentation, and coordinating with various departments to facilitate smooth operations. Additionally, the role encompasses administrative duties such as arranging travel and managing related tasks for the Fleet Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical Support:Assist in the preparation and review of maintenance records and technical reports.

Qualifications:

• Education: Degree or diploma in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Prior experience in marine engineering, ship management, or related technical fields is advantageous.
• Skills:Strong knowledge of shipboard systems and technical operations.
  Proficiency in handling technical documentation and data analysis.
  Effective communication and coordination skills.

Working Conditions:

• Environment: Primarily office-based, with occasional travel to ships or shipyards.

Responsible for perform as the team lead on project delivery in development, integration, testing and deployment of ServiceNow solution for our clients across various platform workflows :

• Workflow for IT Technology: ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, and AIOps

• IRM/GRC, or Integrated Risk Management

Qualification:

• Plan, manage, and oversee all activities related to the maintenance, repairs, surveys, and certification requirements of assigned vessels, including dry-docking, conversions, or modifications, as well as preparing docking specifications, compiling costs, and final reporting.

We are seeking a skilled IT Support Technician to join our team and provide technical assistance and support for end users & partners. The ideal candidate will have a technical background, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with users at all levels.

This role will involve resolving technical issues, installing and configuring hardware and software, and providing technical guidance to junior product support staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support and assistance to end users via phone, email, remote tools, and in person.

• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues escalated from Level 1 support.

• Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other end-user devices.

• Diagnose and resolve technical problems related to operating systems, applications, and company’s brand product.

• Collaborate with customer’s IT teams to escalate and resolve any complex technical issues in a timely manner.

• Document all support activities, including troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and user interactions into the system.

• Provide training and guidance to end users on the use of hardware, software, and systems. (Ad-Hoc)

• Perform software updates, patches, and system upgrades as required to ensure security and stability.

• Assist to maintain inventory of hardware and software assets, including tracking and managing equipment and licenses. (Ad-Hoc)

Qualifications:

• 1~2+ years of experience in a L1/2 desktop support role or similar position. (Preferably but training provided too)

• Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues in a Windows environment.

• Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and other Windows domain services (Preferably but training provided too)

• Familiarity with remote desktop support tools and techniques.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with users at all levels.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Job Scope:

Programme and operational support

• Liaison with 2 external vendors on tracker distribution operations and logistical needs e.g. monitoring stock inventory levels, resolving operational/customer care issues that are escalated
• Perform reconciliation of tracker issuance numbers, conduct investigations and rectifications on errors or discrepancies, and update record keeping ensuring 100% accuracy
• Update key monitoring statistics, such as issuance numbers, appointment related datasets, utilisation rate of fitness wearables on a weekly or monthly basis for reporting
• Ensure timely submission of documentation and reports by client vendors on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis as required.
• Conduct monitoring on vendors’ performance indicators and follow-up on non-compliance or non-performing areas
• Assist in contract management matters, including billing and budget tracking matters
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to develop, update and enhance Standard Operating Process (SOPs) and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) to resolve operational issues so as to increase efficiency and improve customer journey
• Coordination and basic secretariat support for biweekly meetings with internal and external stakeholders
• Perform on-site audits or checks on the operations and processes, if required

General administrative support

• General administrative work such as data entry and record keeping as assigned or required by the department. This may include customer care operations.
• On a to-need and ad-hoc basis, to support on-site operations for client programmes (e.g. mass fitness wearable distribution events)

Job Scope:

• Provide programme administrative and logistical support for existing and new training programmes, seminars, conferences, study visits and ad hoc events.
• Responsible for full spectrum of programme administration and logistic duties (such as pre and post programme admin as well as onsite support) to ensure smooth delivery of programmes. The tasks include:

creating of course and class in TREX system

prepare publicity for programme

registration and confirmation of participants

coordinating travel arrangement (if applicable)

marking of attendance and compiling of course evaluation

• Procure items related to programmes/events
• Proper accrual of expenditures related to the programmes/events
• Timely invoicing/billing to participants
• Timely payments to trainers and suppliers
• Partner with domains and L&D Specialists/Researchers to ensure programme delivery is seamless and meet college KPIs such as LAE scores and target reach.
• Responsible for knowledge management ie. keeping accurate and proper records and comply client's standards and operation guidelines.

• Design competitive and practical software solutions, including low-code application architecture, SaaS module configurations, and video conferencing integrations, supported by detailed implementation plans.
• Lead cross-departmental discussions to ensure technical feasibility and refine solution designs based on feedback.
• Deliver tailored product demonstrations, prepare comprehensive technical documentation, and support market promotion efforts through industry events and client presentations.
• Provide technical guidance during implementation, address project adjustments, and ensure solutions meet customer expectations.
• Communicate market trends and client feedback to R&D for continuous product improvement.

Requirements

• Diploma or higher.
