Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, preferably with a focus on construction / precision mechanics
• Knowledge of mechanic design principles, accurate positioning, dynamic behavior, material properties, strength and stiffness
• User of 3D design tools (e.g. NX or SolidWorks)
• User of product lifecycle management systems (e.g. TeamCenter or EPDM)
• Basic knowledge of FEA calculations in the area of mechanical design
• Helicopter view, abstract thinking and ability to think out-of-the box
• An effective communicator
• Fluent in English, both speaking and writing
• Willingness to travel overseas and cooperate with the European mother company

Additional requirements for Senior Mechanical Design Engineer:

• At least 5 years of relevant working experience (semicon, precision mechanics, or similar)
• Deep understanding and experience in the different design phases ranging from conceptual design up to Proto- and Pilot evaluation
• Experience in multidisciplinary projects, knowing dependency between electrical, electromechanical and mechanical (sub)systems
• Proficient in stakeholder management (internal and external) to increase effectiveness and efficiency of the team

Purpose: To create, control and manage changes to customer's Technical Product Data (TPD) packages (Items, Bill of Materials, Product specification documents) in the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. To deploy TPD changes to the relevant Persons-in-Charge (PICs) for execution.

Key Area of Responsibilities:

• Check the correctness and completeness of product packages, such as Technical Product Data (TPD) and Bill of Materials (BOM) received from customers.
• Work with the user of TPDs to define the new TPD requirement and update the ISO document (for new customers or any change in TPD requirement).
• Maintain required customer items, BOM, and TPDs in PLM and ERP systems.
• Create and control the item part number, BOM and TPD in the PLM and ERP systems.
• Create projects in the ERP system for the fulfillment of customer Sales orders.
• Implement Engineering Change Order (ECOs) and deploy the changes to the next inline PIC (such as planner, purchaser, process engineer and Sales & Program dept.)
• Check and ensure all required information for the TPD (items, BOMs, documents) and/or configuration change are provided, and approved by the customer.
• Support and participate in company continuous improvement program.

Qualification & Experiences:

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering/Science or relevant field.
• Minimum 2 years of working as a product data engineer in the semiconductor industry or similar position.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel functions
• Good communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Issues Technical Specifications and Manage Piping related packages for EPCC of FPSO Topside projects
• Translates requirements of project/ classification society/ relevant industrial standard / statutory bodies into Technical Specifications for piping related materials, equipment and services to be procured
• Ensures all procurement arrangement & transactions comply with project's commercial, legal and contractual obligation
• Engages in technical discussions to achieve comparable levels of compliancy for competing suppliers of the same product/system
• Prepares technical bid evaluations to qualify suitable vendors in terms of quality, track record, cost, delivery, responsiveness to meet project's schedule and compliance to all applicable requirements
• Manages and evaluate technical deviation in vendors' proposals
• Contributes to the engineering process by developing the required deliverables (specification documents, reviewed supplier's documentation, functional descriptions, schematic drawings and test and validation plans)
• Work with other engineers to implement technical and practical knowledge & deviation into the design
• Ensures all relevant data is stored accurately in the EMS system
• Manage project owners' requirements, variation orders, comments on engineering documents, construction site issues and etc.
• Prepares and manage piping material take off and requisition order according to project progress/ status
• Verifies technical performance of products and systems; (i.e. inspection of equipment at supplier premises, factory acceptance test and etc.)
• Engages with project stakeholders to periodically review procurement methodologies, devising improvement strategies to minimize variability in the supply chain
• Assists in material / cost estimation and contract specs. review prior to signing the contract with project owner
• Provides technical support for piping related construction / testing/ commissioning issues

Requirements:

• Min. Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Engineering
• At least 2 years of piping engineering related working experience or similar activities as described above.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products, AutoCAD, Autodesk Naviswork, Aveva PDMS 3D
• Prefer to have experience in Offshore/Shipyard project, Rig building/Ship building
• Experience in FPSO Topside New Builds projects is highly relevant
• Able to communicate & write in English
• Able to understand mandarin is a plus.
• Overtime on weekdays and weekends is required during peak periods
• Independent, flexible, objective and purposeful
