As an Application Support Analyst, your job duties will encompass performing root cause analysis of application issues, providing support for our hardware, sustaining user account management for network, email, and other applications, and developing corrective action plans following the industry standard ITIL framework, which includes incident, problem, and change management.

You will also be responsible for writing, maintaining, and managing a knowledge database of issues and their resolution or workarounds. Additionally, you will need to execute and deliver regularly scheduled application tasks and processes on time. Building strong and close working relationships with key business stakeholders and end-users is essential to the role. You will also be expected to assist with testing system upgrades, releases, and enhancements for production acceptance, identify opportunities for systems improvement and actively contribute to their implementation. As part of a virtual, distributed team, you will work on key projects to develop, enhance, and implement systems.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Be part of the front-line Application Support team resolving incidents and service request queries.
• Ensure all guides and training materials are available and kept up to date in accordance with the latest changes.
• Take ownership of incidents, service requests and problem tickets that are assigned to the Application Support Team in Service Desk Plus.
• Ensure incidents are acknowledged, updated, and resolved within the defined SLA.
• Escalate incidents where appropriate and liaise with the Head of Application Support to ensure prompt resolution.
• Innovate and work with the Head of Application Support to implement improvements, automation and self-service capabilities into existing processes and applications, reducing the number of tickets coming into service desk plus.
• Ensure Problem tickets are kept active, updated, and resolved in line with the Problem management process.
• Gain a comprehensive understanding of our trading application and be the subject matter expert.
• Provide daily assistance to users of the system across different departments and locations.
• Work with the Head of Application Support to monitor application usage, identify knowledge gaps, and report on areas for user education to optimise effectiveness.
• Provide a high level of support on operational issues.
• Provide training to new and existing users.
• Keep up to date with key enhancements and developments and communicate this to end users.
• Support User Acceptance Testing for new releases.
• Assist in ad hoc business needs.
• Provide direct support on IT support issues, and keep users informed of issues or concerns.
• Troubleshoot and resolve certain levels of IT support issues such as printers, Citrix Desktop and Teams.
• Create and maintain user accounts via Active Directory.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE

• Experience with using and documenting bespoke applications and the ability to become a subject matter expert for the application within a short period of time.
• Experience in providing training to stakeholders and end users.
• Analysing and determining the root cause of recurring issues.
• Active Directory knowledge a plus

QUALIFICATIONS / ACCREDITATIONS

• A relevant degree in Information Systems, computing studies, IT, or other related fields.
• Experience of supporting business critical applications and customer facing web applications.
• Ideally, experience working with operating systems: Microsoft Office, ERP systems, databases skills (SQL) and using cloud-based applications.
• ITIL Foundation Certificate, ideal.
• Knowledge of oil & gas or energy industry (desirable).

Role purpose:

The on-site analyst role is to ensure the proper functioning of personal computing and office technology so that end users can most efficiently and effectively accomplish business tasks. This includes receiving, prioritizing, documenting, and actively resolving customer requests and escalations from the Global Service Desk. Problem resolution will involve the use of incident management tools, as well as hands-on support at the on-site level.

Responsibilities:

· Perform hands-on fixes, including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, managing mobile devices, implementing file backups, and configuring applications.

· Owns and drives issues to resolution including escalation to specialized resources within the broader IT organization. Remains engaged on issues until resolution.

· Provide Tier 2 technical support for client facilities such as video conferencing and audio conferencing services.

· Lead, coordinate and participate in improvements as they relate to the on-site IT environment.

· Serves as an advocate for the organization’s information security management system. Assists customers to work efficiently within the ISMS framework.

· Test fixes to ensure problems have been adequately resolved.

· Perform post-resolution follow-ups to customer requests.

· Evaluate documented resolutions and analyse trends for ways to prevent future problems.

· Field incoming requests from customers via both telephone and e-mail in a courteous manner.

· Build rapport with customers.

· Perform preventative maintenance, including checking and cleaning of workstations, printers, and peripherals.

· Prioritise and escalate problems (when required).

· Record, track, and document problem-solving processes, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made, and actions taken, through to final resolution.

· Apply diagnostic utilities to aid in troubleshooting. Access software updates, drivers, knowledge bases, and frequently asked questions resources on the Internet to aid in problem resolution.

· Understands the essential responsibilities of the position and works to continuously to build and improve the skills necessary to be proficient in the role.

· Serves as a back up to the IT Support Technician as appropriate.

· Serves as lead Audio Visual SME for live meetings and events held onsite or at remote locations as requested.

· Supports operates and maintains AV equipment for live meetings and events.

· Provides support and demonstrates expert knowledge for online webinar tools and applications.

· Acts as backup trainer when requested.

Job Scope:

• Provide sales and purchasing support in terms of keying sales orders, preparing sales invoices and credit notes, ensuring paperwork is filed properly.
• Prepare monthly financial and operations reports and analysis.
• Process sales/purchase orders, tax invoices and coordinate on local deliveries and overseas shipments.
• Back up Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable / Treasury functions, as and when necessary.
• Assist on year-end audit and liaise with auditors.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and filing of all necessary financial records.
• Ad hoc accounts monitoring and other duties as and when required.

Requirement:

• Diploma / Degree in Accounting
• At least 2 years of experience in accounting
• Good understanding of local accounting standards and tax regulations
• Proficient with MS Office application and use of accounting software (knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Navision will be added advantage)
