Function Overview
- International Wealth Management (IWM) in Nomura has been expanding its business. Over last years – several enhancements are ongoing on continuous basis including expanding newer set of applications in IWM application landscape
- This job role – will report head of IWM production support in Singapore
- This job would entail working in shifts
- Good knowledge of Avaloq Banking System is a must
Job Responsibilities
- Primary responsibility of the candidate will be to provide L1/L2 technical support for all applications used by wealth management technology including Avaloq, Marginman and many others
- Manage day to day production issues including daily health checks of all applications and processes
- Working closely with various stake holders like business users, development staffs and infrastructure teams. Prioritize, mitigate or resolve issues and/or minimize outages
- Responsible for availability, incident, problem and capacity management for all applications in scope
- Maintain high performance and availability of production environment including ensuing batch monitoring during late shifts
- Monitor critical components of the system and troubleshoot problem areas
- Liaise with users to ensure production incidents are resolved on a timely basis and that remedial actions are taken. Manage and keep track of production issues, follow up incident post mortem to mitigate root cause
- Work closely with regional IT teams (cross IT BUs) to maintain effective up-stream & down-stream processing
- Implement continuous process improvements including but not limited to Policies and procedures and production monitoring
- Participate in business continuity planning and exercises
- Participate/support in regional and/or global projects
Job Requirements
- University graduate in Information Technology
- Minimum 7 years of experience in application support
- Must have experience in banking environment/ financial institution with the understanding in FX/MM/Equity/Derivatives and associated front to back operational workflow
- ITIL v3 or similar qualifications with Java, Oracle, Unix/Linux, Sybase technologies
- Able to work with sense of urgency under multiple deadlines, can organize and deliver with minimal supervision
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills; Willing to learn and able to adapt to different technologies
- Self-motivated, responsible and reliable team player
Essential technical skills:
- Experienced in both banking / financial services supporting large applications
- Hands on experience in Unix/Linux, Oracle/Sybase, Java technologies, Avaloq and Marginman
- Experience in production support including managing incident & problem management
- Experienced in supporting Wealth Management system/Order Management system/ Execution Management System
- Experience in disaster recovery planning and test execution
Preferred:
- Completed Avaloq Certification training
- Knowledge of market data and financial models will be advantage
- Practical understanding of FIX protocol
- Understanding on cloud operations, micro services, python/perl and excel skill
- Communicates well & across all levels.
