We’re looking for a Software Engineer to:
• design, develop, and improve the digital products and technology services we provide to our clients and employees
• apply a broad range of software engineering practices, from analyzing user needs and developing new features to automated testing and deployment
• ensure the quality, security, reliability, and compliance of our solutions by applying our digital principles and implementing both functional and non-functional requirements
• build observability into our solutions, monitor production health, help to resolve incidents, and remediate the root cause of risks and issues
• understand, represent, and advocate for client needs
• share knowledge and expertise with colleagues , help with hiring, and contribute regularly to our engineering culture and internal communities.
• define business and technical workarounds in a rapidly moving environment, initiate and help to deliver process improvements (including automation solutions)
• actively participate in the major incident management process
• optimize operational procedures to improve efficiency, reduce time to restore and minimize costs.
Your team :
In our agile operating model, crews are aligned to larger products and services fulfilling client needs and encompass multiple autonomous pods. You will be part of the WMI CORE team in Singapore with a focus on Portfolio data, analytics, and reporting.
Your expertise :
• experience in Agile Methodology & DevOps practices and tools
• 10+ years of hands-on experience with application development and support in Private banking / wealth management.
• good understanding of the capital market domain
• ability to solve complex issues (covering both technical and business areas)
• strong analytical, problem-solving and synthesizing skills (i.e. you know how to figure problems out)
• ability to automate repetitive and mundane tasks, and eliminate the TOIL
• proficiency in UNIX/LINUX Operating system commands and advanced SQL
• programming experience in one or more languages - Java/C++/Python/Perl/Ruby/R/Go
• good understanding of application infrastructure- storage/middleware/messaging/virtualization
• exposure to cloud services, preferably Microsoft Azure
• basic knowledge of Containerization & Orchestration - Docker, Kubernetes
• experience in release automation and CI/CD Tools- GitLab/Puppet/Terraform/Jenkins
• working experience with one or more APM tools - Splunk, AppDynamics, ITRS Geneos, Grafana
• working knowledge on basic support tools - Autosys/ServiceNow/Toad/Putty
