As a Field Engineer (C&S), you will be responsible for carrying out day-to-day civil maintenance work through supervision of contractors in site execution to meet quality, HSE, and engineering requirements for assigned projects, turn around and pit stop activities or maintenance work.

What’s the role?

Job Responsibilities

• Inspect the hotel's rooms, common areas, and back-of-house spaces regularly.
• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, lighting, and mechanical equipment.
• Handle minor repairs like fixing doors, replacing light bulbs, and repairing furniture.
• Respond quickly to guest complaints about maintenance issues (e.g., broken fixtures or malfunctioning equipment).
• Ensure all guest room amenities, such as air conditioning, lighting, and appliances, are working properly.
• Carry out basic electrical repairs like rewiring outlets, replacing light fixtures, and fixing power issues.
• Repair plumbing problems, including leaks, clogged drains, and faulty water systems.
• Check fire alarms, sprinklers, and emergency lighting regularly for safety.
• Maintain proper chemical levels in the swimming pool and spa.
• Create and follow a preventive maintenance schedule for hotel equipment and infrastructure.
• Work with outside contractors for specialized services (e.g., elevator maintenance, pest control).
• Monitor and evaluate contractors' work to ensure it meets hotel standards.
• Track energy usage and suggest ways to improve efficiency, such as using energy-saving equipment.
• Provide regular maintenance updates to hotel management.

Job Requirements

• Skilled in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on safety.
• Physically fit for rotating and overnight shifts.

As a Research Engineer here, you will be responsible for building AI systems that can perform previously impossible tasks or achieve unprecedented levels of performance. We're looking for people with solid engineering skills (for example designing, implementing, and improving a massive-scale distributed machine learning system), writing bug-free machine learning code, and building the science behind the algorithms employed.

The most outstanding deep learning results are increasingly attained at a massive scale, and these results require engineers who are comfortable working in large distributed systems. We expect engineering to play a key role in most major advances in AI of the future.

We expect you to:

• Have strong programming skills
• Have experience working in large distributed systems
• Be excited about OpenAI’s approach to research

• Past experience in creating high-performance implementations of deep learning algorithms
