Salary: $4500 - $5500

Working Days: 5 Days // 8am/8.30am - 5.30pm/6pm

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide cost estimation for Mechatronics/ PCBA / Cables/ E&E modules.
• Support R&D in selecting components/ Source include recommendations on potential new technologies for the purpose.
• Monitor procurement processes as well as control of resources and activities in support of quality, cost, and delivery requirements at NPI projects.
• Support product cost optimization at the management of procurement in key areas such as strategies, supplier selections, inquiries, negotiations, and drift cost calculations.
• Coordination between internal and external stakeholders with selected suppliers on necessary technical information, etc drawings, data sheets, STEP files, to ensure the alignment in costing and delivered materials.
• Recommend the promotion of material status from stages of manufacturing freeze until series.
• Organize for design to cost (DTC) or cost reduction processes via structural cost analyses.
• Support Advanced Purchaser/Operative Purchaser in event of escalations during material orders/ deliveries and complex engineering changes. This will include direct supplier coordination/ communications.
• Knowledge transfer to commodity managers of materials from prototype to production stage.
• Execute assignments from the managers

Job Requirements:

• Degree (with relevant experience) in Electronic / Electrical Engineering, preferably with R&D background but not a must.
• Experience from Original Equipment Manufacturer or Contract Manufacturer will be added advantage
• Possess project management experience especially on PCBA
• Experience in BOM / Costing / Engineering analysis and supply chain management

RESPONSIBILITIES

Work done will be at the direction of the PI, and where relevant, the Industry Director and Centre Director.As the Programme is interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary by nature, you will be expected to convey yourdomain expertise and edify others (and vice versa) in as productive, constructive, and collaborative a manneras possible.

You may be asked to participate in the development of use cases and delivery of proof-of-concept prototypesfor government and industry partners in the areas of computable contracts and "rules as code". Experience inrequirements analysis and agile, iterative methodologies will be useful at this stage.The work of the team will be largely determined by these use cases and customers. We will work with multipleuse cases so that we can abstract across them and develop generalized, reusable infrastructure. We will workwith specific customers so we can build useful applications on top of that infrastructure.You will contribute to the design and development of open-source software written to serve those use cases.You will work as part of a team of research engineers, developers, and domain expertise and you will beexpected to actively participate in team meetings and text-based communications. You will be expected to beactive members of the applied research community, by validating and contributing to advances incomputational law.

You may be asked to conduct use-inspired research at the direction of the Principal Investigator. This includes

• reading academic papers, standards publications, and related material such as blog posts and presentations
• coming up to speed in fields which may be new to you, such as computational linguistics, mathematical logic, programming language design, formal verification, and model-based architecture
• reading (and updating/commenting, relevant) existing software documentation
• creating presentations, video recordings, walkthroughs, etc. to document and explain research work done
• writing (and presenting, if so decided by the PI) academic papers and materials for publication
• documenting in a sufficiently-detailed manner so as to share what you've learned

You will be expected to participate in software development; this includes

• learning how to use third party tools, including editors, IDEs, databases, business process modeling software, programming languages, and libraries
• evaluating competing software systems for suitability
• building infrastructure to enable application development
• managing yourself, and managing fellow team members
• engaging in product, project, and program management as needed
• reading books and consuming such other media forms about software development
• writing documentation such as user/developer-facing manuals, tutorials
• delivering community support to users and customers
• preparing presentations to represent the project before external audiences
• writing actual user-facing applications throughout the "full stack"

in each case, documenting, reporting, and/or presenting the same in clearly and efficiently, both internally and externally.

Researchers under the Programme should possess both mastery of their academic speciality, anddemonstrated practical experience producing and supporting high-quality open-source code throughcommunity engagement across multiple media. Candidates must have Bachelor's, Master's, Ph.D., oralternative qualifications in computer science, software engineering, (symbolic) artificial intelligence,computational linguistics, or formal methods.

Fluency in multiple natural languages, and any experience with law, are a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Drive the Asia & Middle East teams in improving their sustainability performance roadmap, principally to reduce GHG and emissions of VOC
• Responsible for developing and implementing strategies, policies and initiatives that minimize the environmental impact of our operations and contribute to the company's overall sustainability goals
• Lead the reporting on scope 1, 2 and 3 in line with the GHG protocol; ability to test and analyse, and drive the use of such data to improve sustainability performance
• Co-create materials to educate employees in the business unit and improve culture on sustainability, foster a culture of sustainability across departments by promoting awareness and accountability. Provide training and education throughout the organization on GHG and sustainability, as needed
• Identify opportunities to reduce carbon emissions, energy consumption and waste generation; share this with the local teams and facilitate cross sharing. Where commonalities exist, support collaboration between teams and repeatability in implementation e.g. solar projects
• Lead the GHG reduction target validation process with the Science Based Target Initiative and ensure that GHG reduction targets are approved and updated when required
• Develop annual proposals for the BU on the selection and prioritization of GHG reduction projects to achieve the global targets in the most cost effective way

Requirements:

• Lead the overall GHG roadmap for Asia & Middle East Business Unit in line with 2030 and 2050 targets in collaboration with both Global as well as local teams
• Bachelor/Master Degree preferably in Engineering (e.g. Chemical, Process, Mechanical) or Science (e.g. Environmental Science, Energy Management)
• A minimum of 5 years work experience in the area of sustainability, or in projects/portfolio management of GHG reducing initiatives
• Preferred background from power generation, chemical manufacturing, waste treatment ie. Industries with large CO2 impact
• Demonstrated knowledge of sustainable business principles, translate strategy into tangible plans and actions, and ability to implement to in a business setting
