• Experience in DevOps and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools, especially Terraform

The job holder is responsible for providing technical assistance and support to end-users, managing door access systems, facilitating the application of ERP permissions, addressing printing-related issues, assisting in setting up audio and visual systems for meetings, providing mobile support, and supporting in-house applications.

Key responsibilities

• User Support - Respond to IT-related inquiries from end-users. Provide prompt and effective technical assistance for hardware, software, and network-related issues. Guide users through basic troubleshooting steps to resolve common IT problems. Escalate complex issues to the senior engineers if necessary.
• Software and Hardware Support - Install, configure, and maintain software applications on end-users' computers and mobile devices. Assist with the setup and troubleshooting of hardware devices, including computers, printers, peripherals, and audio-visual equipment. Address printing-related issues, including troubleshooting printer connectivity problems. Possess knowledge of basic networking concepts and troubleshooting. Assist users with network connectivity and related issues. Provide support for Microsoft Office products. Conduct regular maintenance checks on computer systems and perform necessary updates.
• Audio and Visual System Setup - Assist in setting up audio and visualsystems for meetings and presentations. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to audio and visual systems.
• In-House Application Support - Assist users with issues related to in-house applications. Collaborate with developers or relevant teams to address and resolve application-related problems. Provide user guidance and support for in-house application usage.
• Documentation - Prepare and update user guides for various software applications, including in-house applications.
• Others - Perform other IT related duties or projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge in Windows Operating Systems, email server and Citrix

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• More than 5 years of experience in software development, with proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, JavaScript, or similar.
• Solid understanding of software development principles, object-oriented design, and algorithms.
• Experience with databases (SQL, NoSQL), web services, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.) is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills. Fluent in Chinese is required.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

As a Lead Backend Engineer, you will play a crucial role in shaping our backend architecture and leading the development of our solutions. You will drive impactful technical decisions and oversee comprehensive system designs. You will mentor team members, promote best practices and collaborate across cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional user experiences.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Design the architecture for our carsharing service

• Design, define technical scope/domain and take ownership of several of our backend micro-services

• Design functional flows across micro-services and other applications

• Design and optimize database schema

• Establish and document critical non-functional requirements

• Resolve challenges for the team when complex technical issues arise using pair programming, conducting RCAs, and getting deep into the codebase

• Review code (quality, performance, security) and mentor developer(s) to ensure high quality delivery

• Evaluate engineering metrics and processes, and recommend enhancements to improve productivity and quality

• Perform hands-on coding, including pair programming

• Identify and escalate potential risks to stakeholders while proposing solutions to address them

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other internal stakeholders

• Promote and enforce best practices within the team and organization

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or the equivalent

• At least 12 years of experience as a backend engineer, including 3 years of managing teams

• At least 6 years architecting technical solutions and applying design patterns

• Proven track record in proposing critical high-level improvements that impacted the full engineering department

• Deep expertise in event driven architecture and micro service architecture

• Expertise in more than one high level language, experience with Node.JS is preferred

• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience using 2 or more software development methodologies (e.g. Scrum, TDD, XP, DDD)

• Deep understanding of RDBMS such as PostgreSQL (schema design, optimization)

• Expertise with Git, CI/CD pipelines and test automation

• Strong knowledge and hands on experience with containerization and AWS services

• Experience with software development security, monitoring and SRE (health checks, dashboard, metrics, etc.)

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences

• Proficiency in Vietnamese would be advantageous, to communicate with engineering team in Vietnam

Job Requirements

3. At least proficient in one mainstream front-end framework, such as React or Vue; familiarity with React is preferred.

4. Familiar with Web application system development, with some understanding of the HTTP protocol and web servers.

5. Proficient in front-end engineering build tools, with experience in at least one large-scale project.

6. Strong interest and in-depth insights into the latest front-end technologies and implementations in the industry.
