Responsibilities:
This role support business projects for material/ product handling equipment implementation for warehouse setup within APAC regions. The successful incumbent is expected to provide consultation about optimal logistics automation operation tailored to meet customersā need by proposing and implement cost effective logistics automation to continuous enhance organizational performance.
Based on the deep understanding of Logistics Automation process, the incumbent will lead the entire project by provide professional consultation and support in strategy development and roadmap establishment for logistics automation services.
- Logistics Project Planning and Implementation ManagementPropose the right Logistics Automation Solution that comply with customersā requirements, aim to fulfill quality goals, service standards and inventory accuracy.
Execute the plan from sourcing, proposing, conduct feasibility testing, assessing the technical specifications to purchase of warehouse automated equipment and setup the new warehouse
Work closely with Logistics Systems Integration Engineer to build the automation technology database to track capacities, costs and system connectivity
Plan and manage the entire implementation project timeline, budget and resources
Conduct user training to key users
- Enhancement of Logistics Automation ProcessDefine KPI and determine the achievement rate of the applied automation equipment
Identifies process exceptions, formulates recommendations, and implements process improvements.
Monitor and report the operational status including work efficiency, ROI analysis, productivity to management
- Logistics Automation ConsultationDiscover new automation technology (S/W, H/W) and keep abreast of the latest automation market trends by develop the relevant strategies
Conduct operational simulation to strengthen the capacity by adopting the optimal automation solutions to customers
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders i.e external suppliers/ technology consultants/ equipment suppliers
- Support Regional Head Quarter with any other Logistics Automation Optimization assignment
- Any other ad-hoc duties assigned
Requirements:
- Minimum 8+ years of related working experience in Global Logistics Company
- [Master degree holder] Minimum 6+ years of related working experience in Global Logistics Company
- Work experience in Global Freight Forwarding with experience in setting up automation solutions in in a logistics environment and relevant role (design warehouse automation equipment such as ASRS, AGV, DPS, DAS, etc. and setup warehouse) is a must
- Deep understanding of Global Logistics Automation, WMS/WCS
- Proficient in Logistics Automation Simulation
- Able to select Optimal option and application for automation equipment
- Good in warehouse automation layout design by using tools such as Autocad, Sketchup, CAD
- Experience in end-to-end project management
- Experience in leading projects by simulating using Automode, Flexsim, Arena
- Experience in carrying out optimization part (Operation Research) Projects
- Able to use the Data analysis tool such as Power BI, Tableau etc.
- Familiar with the regulations, codes of practice and standards imposed on technical procedures.
