Job Description
1. Daily monitoring of the performance of the vessel as per charter party requirements.
2. Daily monitoring of all machinery performances on board.
3. Overall in charge of assigned vessels’ operational, technical, maintenance, crewing, purchasing, budgeting, insurance, statutory & Class compliance matters.
4. Arrange surveys and dry docking. Attend dry docking and special surveys.
5. Discuss shipyard invoicing before presenting same to the General Manager for approval.
6. Prepare docking report.
7. Interviewing and selection of crew joining allocated vessels.
8. To Ensure reporting compliance via the DANAOS system.
9. Preparing and ensuring that vessel is ready for any PSC or FSC Inspection.
10. Managing the OPEX and Non-OPEX of vessel.
11. Review of month end, quarterly and half yearly reports.
12. Monthly vessel performance review with charterers and owners as required.
13. Maintenance of optimum number of spares remaining on board.
14. Arrangement of attendance of class to vessels for annual and intermediate surveys.
15. To carry out vessel inspections when vessel calls port of convenience and generating visit reports.
16. To be the first point of contact to the vessels with regards to Technical Issues and advise the Master and CE on matters that require clarification.
17. Daily monitoring of the implemented PMS system and ensure compliance.
18. Review of Details Risk Assessments as submitted by the vessel.
19. Review and investigate Equipment Failure Reports to ensure no recurrence.
20. Liaise with commercial department on data requirement by charterers.
21. Undertake any other additional Technical related assignments as and when required.
22. Monitoring of vessels Daily movements, Fuel and Lube consumption on a daily basis including speed and consumption to be within charter party terms.
23. To liaise with engine and machinery makers for technical issues if required.
24. Monitor and guide vessels’ Engineers in their technical competencies.
25. Ensure that vessel is in class at all times.
26. Ensure zero incidents on board, zero off hire and zero PSC detentions.
27. To arrange machinery service engineers' attendance as required and coordinating LSA Technicians attendance.
28. To follow up with the requisitions raised by the vessels and have them supplied in a timely and most cost-efficient method by working closely with the purchasing department.
29. Generation of quarterly LO report for owners.
