Responsibilities:
- Responsible for end to end management, administration of PostgreSQL Database technologies.
- Main point of contact for any changes in Sybase and PostgreSQL technology and is accountable for any technical changes in the environment from a RUN/BAU perspective.
- Maintain programmable code outlined in technical instructions and specifications for operating systems.
- Actively involve in incident management like fault investigation, resolution escalations of all monitoring alerts and user initiated problem calls/tickets.
- Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory, and internal Compliance requirements, including, but not limited to, the Singapore Compliance manual and Compliance policies and procedures as issued from time to time.
- Actively participate with development team, service managers, architects, and project team to prepare and execute technology roadmap.
- Facilitates transformation projects and suggest future directions for new areas of improvement.
- Act as the last level of escalation for the team members
Requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or in any related majors
- At least 8 to 10 years of Applications/Systems Programmer experience in administration and management of IT Database technologies primarily focusing on PostgreSQL database.
- Experience in defining, implementing, and enforcing Database Security policies for security solutions.
- Must have experience in database migration from legacy system to Postgres SQL server.
- Must have working experience in a large enterprise level environment.
- Excellent understanding of ITIL processes and comfortable working in process oriented environment.
- Experience of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for Sybase and PostgreSQL technology
- Good to have scripting knowledge in Python, PowerShell, TSQL, Ansible etc.
- Able to work independently and as well as a part of team and can work under minimal supervision.
