Project Manager (Banking/CBD/1 Year Contract/Up to $12000)
1. Project management, to ensure delivery of key initiatives on time and budget for trading systems and processes.
2. Engaging with stakeholders in front, middle and back-office across Trading business and technology to ensure alignment on key deliverables and timelines.
3. Providing regular updates and following up on action items at working group across multiple workstreams in the project
4. Manage project issues, form and execute actions to overcome blockers to the project implementation
5. Plan and execute with the project team on key aspects of the project including requirements gathering, development, testing and eventual production release.
6. Consolidate and provide regular (monthly) updates to the Project Steering Committee on the project status, including milestones achieved, project risks and issues for escalation and upcoming milestones
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, preferably in trading systems and processes.
- Proven track record of managing projects within the financial services industry, particularly in trading.
- Strong understanding of trading systems, including front, middle, and back-office operations.
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders across different business units and technology teams.
- Ability to ensure alignment on deliverables and timelines through effective collaboration.
- Strong organizational skills to plan and execute key project aspects, including requirements gathering, development, testing, and production release.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to manage project risks and issues effectively.
- Ability to adapt and respond to changing project requirements and environments.
