About the Role
As a Service Manager, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and overall service of diesel engines used in various applications, such as marine propulsion, generators, and heavy machinery. You will work closely with a team of engineers and technicians to ensure optimal performance and reliability of diesel engines.

Key Responsibilities
· Maintenance and Repair:
o Perform routine and preventive maintenance on diesel engines to ensure smooth operation
o Diagnose faults and malfunctions in diesel engines and related equipment
o Repair or replace defective parts, using hand tools, machining tools, and heavy equipment
· Installation and Testing:
o Assist in the installation of new diesel engines and configure them for optimal performance
o Conduct tests on repaired and installed engines to ensure they meet specifications and safety standards
· Technical Support and Consultation:
o Provide technical support to clients and team members on issues related to diesel engine operation and maintenance
o Recommend modifications to improve engine performance and efficiency
· Documentation and Compliance:
o Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and service tasks
o Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental laws
· Training and Development:
o Keep abreast of advancements in diesel engine technology
o Conduct training sessions for junior engineers and technicians
About the Person
Key Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
· Minimum of 3 years of direct experience in servicing, maintaining, and repairing diesel engines
· Proven experience as a Diesel Engine Service Engineer or similar role
· Strong understanding of diesel engine mechanics and electronics
· Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
· Strong attention to detail and precision
· Effective communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to work in challenging environments and adapt to varying conditions
· Experience working with customers in the Marine Engine business
