Angle Recruitment is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Technical Superintendent for our esteemed client, a leading company in the offshore maritime industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the technical management and operational performance of a fleet of offshore vessels. Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Management: Ensure the vessels are maintained in optimal condition and comply with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Operational Oversight: Monitor and manage the day-to-day operations of the vessels, ensuring maximum efficiency and safety.
- Maintenance Planning: Develop and implement maintenance schedules, including planned maintenance systems.
- Budget Control: Prepare and manage budgets for vessel operations and maintenance.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all vessels comply with safety and environmental regulations, including ISM and ISPS codes.
- Team Coordination: Liaise with crew members, shore-based staff, and external contractors to coordinate repairs, inspections, and maintenance.
- Problem Solving: Address and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize downtime and operational disruptions.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate records and prepare regular reports on vessel performance, maintenance activities, and compliance.
Requirements:
- Experience: Experience in a technical superintendent role, preferably with offshore vessels and must have sailed to Chief Engineer onboard offshore vessels.
- Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of vessel maintenance, repair, and regulatory requirements.
- Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in maintenance management systems.
- Availability: Willingness to travel and spend time onboard vessels as required.
