Purpose and Scope
This role is responsible for the operational of the laboratory and development of method verification and validation.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Laboratory department to comply with the ISO/IEC 17025 and IMS (e.g. ISO14001, 45001 and SS506 parts 3) audit and certification.
- Ensure laboratory operation is in accordance with regulatory requirements and 3) Provide approval to Laboratory quality manual (QM), SOP, risk assessments, corrective actions, and training records.
- Act as management representative (MR) to the SAC for ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation.
- Management of lab personnel competencies & capability to ensure analytical testing results meeting quality requirements.
- Responsible for laboratory Opex & Capex utilizations and planning.
- Manage the Laboratory testing revenue, billing documents and update to the UAM management
- Management of laboratory personnel training, development, and succession planning.
- Identifies and lead laboratory capability expansion and improvement projects.
Major Challenges
- Maintaining the lab operation according to ISO requirement in an efficient way.
- Maintaining laboratory equipment, including troubleshooting during breakdown.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Chemistry preferred. Other science and engineering degree holder with relevant environmental lab experiences will also be considered.
- At least 10-15 years of relevant experience working experience in an analytical laboratory testing/management environment.
