Regional Human Resources Generalist

As a Regional HR Generalist, you will be part of the team to provide support on a wide range of HR functions including but not limited to payroll, benefits & welfare administration, expatriate administration for our offices in APAC. We offer cross-training opportunities within the team for you to expand your knowledge and skill sets.


Job Responsibilities

  • In collaboration with the outsourced payroll vendors, manage payrolls from end to end for multiple countries and entities in Singapore, Sydney, Hong Kong, Thailand, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with local requirements and company policies and procedures
  • Perform employee separation calculations for redundancies, resignations, terminations
  • Maintain robust internal controls and evaluate current work processes to drive proces improvement, enhancing efficiencies, accuracy, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Take ownership of payroll compliance and filings, including responding to ad hoc requests from local statutory authorities and internal/external Audit
  • Primary point of contact for APAC countries to support employees’ enquiries regarding payroll and benefits
  • Evaluate/propose improvements to HR operational activities to optimize efficiency and enhance employee satisfaction
  • Stay up-to-date with regional payroll regulations and compliance requirements, ensuring that payroll practices are in accordance with local laws and regulations.
  • Process insurance/benefits claims promptly and accurately, ensuring compliance with local policies
  • Working with tax agents on expatriates’ taxes in Singapore, Sydney, Malaysia and Thailand
  • Checks invoices from payroll vendors and tax agents
  • Assists internal and external auditors by providing documentation and/or information as required.
  • Handle statutory payroll-related surveys
  • Assist and back up team members as required
  • Participate in regional projects as assigned

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Accountancy, Business Admin
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in regional Payroll Operations within the APAC region
  • Experience in working effectively with outsourced payroll vendors and geographically dispersed teams
  • Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements within the region.
  • Knowledge of General Ledger Accounting
  • Initiative in driving process improvements and exploring innovative solutions within payroll operations
  • Meticulous with good numerical & accuracy skills
  • Proactive and supportive team player with the ability to work independently
  • Ability to manage and set priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Committed to produce quality work
  • Have good work ethics
  • Willingness to take on additional task when necessary
