In this position as an Senior Underwriter in the Property team, you will be expected to conduct day to day underwriting and focus on Property and Terrorism products across all distribution channels. The ideal incumbent is expected to apply underwriting knowledge and skills to contribute to the overall growth and profitability of the Property and Terrorism portfolio and overall business goals.
In this position, you will be responsible for underwriting insurance products and growing the portfolio of the Property and Terrorism business, maintaining profitable renewal accounts as well as assisting in the achievement of financial plans and business strategies to ensure profitable growth for Property & Terrorism. You will drive new business through active prospecting, broker engagement, cross-selling and other strategic initiatives.
In order to be successful in this position, the ideal incumbent should come with 5+ years of relevant experience handling property underwriting and familiar with the industry landscape and strong relationship working with brokers.

- Proven track record and strong technical competence in Property business
- 5+ years of underwriting experience across Property products
- Highly analytical and ability to evaluate and judge underwriting risks within designated authority
- Effective communication & strong interpersonal skills
- Self motivated with a drive for self-improvement and progression
- Excellent team player and ability to perform independently
