Roles & Responsibilities:
- Personal safe work practices and promotion of Operational Excellence (OE) principles in fulfillment of all duties.
- Monitor regional market intelligence, regularly identify industry trends / competitive activity for use by the management team.
- Build value-added relationships at the top levels of customer organizations to meet commercial needs and successfully represent the Drilling Specialties portfolio.
- Achieve profitable growth and sales targets within an annual budget by identifying new accounts and executing new business, effectively serving existing accounts and successfully managing the regional distribution network.
- Prepare forecasts representing regional demand changes for monthly S&OP meetings.
- Lead negotiations with key accounts to secure long-term business.
- Manage regional warehouse and consignment inventories.
- Effectively communicate new product introductions and business development initiatives for distributors and channel partners.
- Effectively manage travel expenses and utilization of other internal resources.
- Coordinate semiannual customer and sales meeting events.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, or Science related field required.
- Minimum of 10 years industry experience in technical sales or commercial roles.
- Strong oilfield business acumen and drilling industry expertise.
- Drilling Specialties and drilling fluids business knowledge and experience.
- Broad oil services industry knowledge and existing network with drilling operators, service companies, and distributors.
- Successful demonstration of inter-personal skills, strategic planning and analytical strengths.
- Proven ability to drive the sales process by negotiating/closing sustainable new business.
- Understanding of financial metrics, cost to serve, margins and profitability.
- Proficiency in technical English language required for the role.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s in Business Administration.
- Experience with SAP, Power BI, Vendavo, CRM and transaction processes.
