> Leads the kitchen team
> Provides guidance to junior kitchen staff members, including, but not limited, to line cooking, food preparation, and dish plating
> Oversees and organizes kitchen stock and ingredients
> Ensures a first-in, first-out food rotation system and verifies all food products are properly dated and organized for quality assurance
> Keeps cooking stations stocked, especially before and during peak hours
> Inventory Management - works with existing systems to reduce wastage and manage budgetary concerns
> Supervises all food preparation and presentation to ensure quality and restaurant standards
> Verifies that food storage units all meet standards and are consistently well-managed
> Coordinates with the management team on supply orders, budget, and kitchen efficiency and staffing
> Creation of menu items, recipes and development of dishes, ensuring variety, quality
> Ensure that all financial and personnel or payroll related administrative duties are completed accurately, timely and in accordance with company policies and procedures
> Provide feedback to management, direction to subordinates regarding operational and procedural issues
